I still need this forum and do apologize for my unladylike departure several days ago.
Like sobeit, in some ways, I was at the end of my rope. I still had most of a bottle of pain pills from my surgery and considered taking them that day. But, my family needs me and it would hurt too many. The next day I hurriedly (sp?) called my counselor, I'm okay for now.
We discussed my compartmentalizing my life as a coping mechanism - whew, is she right. I'm putting most of my energies into my job and am really doing well, I guess because that is one place that I receive appreciation. This brings up a question -
I have been asked to interview for a new position, and I am interested, but I'm not sure it's the right move. More $$ - but (hey, how do I bold within a text? I think it's a function key, but don't know which one.) the position I have now could turn out to be more beneficial in the long term. Take the money and hope that I can still advance, or look to the longterm?
If H and I split it would be very nice to have the income, but I'm not sure where the position would lead. The position I'm in now is very satisfying to me (besides being comfortable) and I think that maybe in the long run would be even better $$.
Your thoughts?

RCoaster,
I've always gone for the most comfort...
But for me that is starting to change too...
I was just offered a position...
...but it's in California (2000+ miles away from everyone I... and my kids know)...
I'm thinking about it too...
But comfort still has it's place...
Most likely I'll stay too. ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif)
BTW: If you type "[ b]bold text[/b]" without the "space" infront of the first b... you'll get it!
Jim

RCoaster
Hi I wasn't there for your departure the other day but we all have our days. Is everything ok now? There is no apology needed ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif) .
Ok BOLDING??? I don't think you can. In WORD it is CNTRL B but that doesn't work here.
As for the job thing I am very lucky I have been working for the same Corp. for 14 years (1st job out of college / eeek }I really love it. I have worked really hard and so thye have paid me for my efforts. But my H had a very hard time finding what he loved consequently I lived w/a miserable man for years. IF you have found something you love great if the other job is just OK to you I would really think twice about it. The expression money isn't everything is true .

Thanks Jim
Do I type it in after? Hope I did that right....guess I'll just post it and see what happens.......oops, did it wrong...
To California? I guess the move would depend on how comfortable it would be to be so far away from things familiar, at least my move would just be 5 min away from present location.
[This message has been edited by RCoaster (edited February 12, 2000).]

OH RC,
Your a lucky fella that you didn't try that overdose thing or I probably wouldn't to talk to ya anymore.
For real, we all have thought about the easy way out or is it?. I can't imagine anything being that bad that would require such action. We all have family, Mom, Dad, maybe kids, brothers, sisters and most importantly US at MB. ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif)
If you ever have that thought again chat with someone either family or here your other family.
I'll leave the job thing up to you.
Good to see you here and breathing.
Zip
