Hi All,
As alot of you know I've written a plan-b letter...See plan-a/b board.
My original intent was to deliver it on tuesday...I am 90% certain I am going to have itr delivered tonight...
My reasons are simple...I honestly doubt she will come around by tues day...I had another negative experience seeing her today, I committed no lovebusters...and I am really starting to feel my feelings wain...
I ask those who will to pray for my wife and myself...I have sought the lord today and asked him what his will in this is...I have thought this through...I am not doing this based solely on emotions...I just am no longer willing to sit here and do nothing but wait...I have executed a nearly flawless plan-a...I feel it is time to do something proactive in my situation...In essence I'm taking my life back...No longer will I be held hostage by my emotions...
Any input or opinions are accepted with grattitude...Please pray for us...I know I have done everything possible...The feelinge I feel now are hard to describe...I feel fear...anxiety...impending relief...empathy...sorrow...joy...weakness, and some anger...It's been 3 months comming now...and now that it's here I feel a slight hesitation...I don't want to do this...I have to...
I love each and everyone of you...
Thank you,
Bill [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
"Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed." Hi Bill,
My thoughts and prayers are with you. You are doing what you have to do. It's going to be scary because you are venturing into unknown territory. But, rest assured, you ARE doing the right thing. Sometimes, the right things are the hardest to do. I think delivering the letter tonight is a very wise idea. If nothing else, why forever tarnish your future Valentine's Days?? They will become constant reminders of "the letter".
What you are doing can be described in another way. Some refer to it as "tough love". I recently had a conversation the other day with a guy at work who went through something similar. For him, it dragged out a very long time, and when his wife finally came around, he had lost all love for her. He said he just couldn't go back. His exact words were, "if I'd have done the tough love sooner, we might have been able to reconcile".
So, even though it is hard, and you are doing it to take back your life, the better reason is that it is the only way your marriage might have a chance.
Be strong. We are all behind you.

Bill...
I love you man... [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
You know one or two days isn't going to make that much of difference...
A day before or after or on Valentine's Day itself isn't going to make a difference...
Go with your feelings...
...I think God spoke to you today...
Yes... of course you can start today.
But most of all... know we'll be here when it gets tough... and when the temptation for contact is too great.
The first few weeks are the hardest...
...much like the withdrawal from a drug or alcohol... and over time your feelings will subside. I remember with vividly with Paul (Moyers.) He posted every few hours almost!
Like I say on the welcome post...
we're here for you... Bill,
I know how hard this is for you. I wish I had had the strength that you are exhibiting, I should have stuck with my
Plan B until he gave up the OW, but I was weak. I also didn't have this forum to come to. My best to you and my prayers....

Bill,
You know that I pray for you, Robin and Abbey every day. If your feelings are going, it is time.
I really can identify with the crazy jumble of feelings you are felling right now. But, I promise you by next week you will be feeling so much better!!!!
PlanB really takes the pressure off you. I know thatis hard to believe righ this moment when you feel the pressure of the world on your shoulders. But, it WILL help you.
You never know...tough love as sidney says...this might be Robin's wake up call!!!!!!!!!
Sending hugs and love to you all.....
{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{BILL}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}
Desiree
------------------
"Life is made up, not of great sacrifices or duties, but of little things in which smiles and kindnesses and small obligations, given habitually, are what win and preserve the heart and secure comfort."
Sir Humphry Davy
Hey Bill,
Desiree is absolutely right. It's hard to implement, but, once in force it does take the edge off. I haven't spoken to Val in almost a month now. I think it's like 27 or 28 days. I'm doing pretty well. Don't think of her as much as I did when we still maintained contact.
You saw the card she sent. It might just be working. Now Brian has to fulfill all her emotional needs. I don't think he can do it. The last years of the marriage were not that good, I will readily admit, but she does love me. He may have her body, I still have her heart. It's in the top drawer next to my underwear.
It's a big step, Pal. I believe it's our only hope.
Wishing us all the Best.
Tim
