Roller coaster ride!!!!!!!!!!!!That is all I can say. I have been so worried about Arik most of the day and then stumbled on something from a few days ago that just made me go BALISTIC. I called him at his motel and was so angry that I couldn't have cared less if anything I said hurt him. Major LB.
Anyway, we talked and talked and talked for almost 3 hours. I was calm but not happy. He asked me to call him later after the kids went to bed so I did. He said that he had been doing a lot of thinking and wants to REALLY work on us. Try even harder(I have a problem with the word TRY- I think it's a bit of a cop out-but will let it slide for now) to keep even work related conversations to a minimum, maybe using email and faxes to relay information so he doesn't have to hear her voice. I do feel better, not good, but better. So here I am from worried to mad to calm to feeling O.K. And the ride is just begining from what I hear...
------------------
Love and Prayers
Nicole
I agree with you on the 'try' thing, it leaves to much room for 'failure'. It seems like a step in the right direction though, and I'm happy for you in that respect. I hope that my last reply to Arik (do I deserve no trust?) will become a little more appropriate. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Deut

FHL: Thanks for the words of hope in the future. I do believe it will all be worth it in the end.
Solloss'exH; Try-yes a bit of a cop out but he doesn't want to seem like more of a jerk by making promises he feels he may be too weak to keep. Here's to hoping it will soon change to "I will..." or "I am..." or "I do..."

Nicole-have to agree wih NSR- hang tight. It he is in a motel room I would suggest him moving back home, the nearer to you and to working things out. This might be something the two of you should consider. God Bless!
------------------
Chick's
Bren
You won't see things until your ready to not be blind!

Of course, that’s assuming he’s seen the error of his ways in regards to the “password” issue from earlier this week...
FWIW, I was with you on the “try” thing (think Yoda... “Do... or do not. There is no try” [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] ) until my counselor said trying is very valid, given the alternative. Yeah, it leaves room for error, but NOT trying leaves none... in the wrong direction.

------------------
Resentment is like taking poison and waiting for the other person to die
