She left 17 Feb 99. Seems like a million years, seems like yesterday.
I've been feeling okay, but tonight I watched ER. Boo hoo!
My Wife has not shown any signs of anything. She didn't send her Mom anything or call for her b'day. My goal is to wait 'till Christmas. I'm gonna schedule up an appt with Steve Harley sometime in the next few weeks.
------------------
Prayers & God Bless!
Chris
For relationship info check out Marriage & Relationship Resources

Hi Chris,
It seems we are all different, but not all that different, well with the exception of me. I am only 24 days behind you. Val was "asked to leave" March 13 after discovery.
I'm getting stronger and played ER tonight.
God bless you if you have the strenght to hold out until Christmas. I can't and won't hold out much longer.
Today, well, yesterday was a good day for me. A social worker that has caught my eye was flirting up a storm this morning. Everytime we are on her "floor" she comes over to chat if it's her patient or not. She calls us for all her transfer patients. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] They have a contract with a competeing service.
About an hour ago we had an emergency out of a rehab hospital and a nurse came up to me and got mad because I didn't remember her or her name from years gone by. Hey, she cut her hair, I haven't seen her in years and I'm really tired. She said she would call me to catch up on stuff.
I can certainly see the nice and warm feeling of having someone give you some attention and the time of day.
I'm not about to break my wedding vows. I am still legally and moraly married to Val. I would like nothing more than if she would give us a chance.
It's just nice to have others appreciate your existance. My outgoing personality and odd sense of humor gets me far.
I'm rambling again.
Chris, I have said this before and mean it. If anyone here deserves happiness, it is you. You have been the rock. I don't think I would have made it this far without you, and many of the other veterans. I was ready to give up long ago. Your steadfast belief has been an inspiration to me and many others.
Take care, God bless.
Tim... sorry for babbling, going night, night

Chris,
Don't you hate anniversaries of this type!?!?!
I don't know how Donna gets up and looks in the mirror each day knowing her girls live elsewhere and she is responsible for all this pain and havoc in their lives and yours.
Coninued prayers for you and the girls......
Roll Me Away

------------------
"Life is made up, not of great sacrifices or duties, but of little things in which smiles and kindnesses and small obligations, given habitually, are what win and preserve the heart and secure comfort."
Sir Humphry Davy
Chris,
Yes, ER got to me last night too,,,,,my favorite show except for tonight!!!! I'll get better when I see LUCY on another show sometime and see that she is OK!
I've been holding back telling you this, I think about it every time I see your posts........My H and I have friends from College (married 25 years), The wife left with this scum for three years.....her H waited.....and waited............She finally came home, and they have built a new life. Course the H is still feeling the pain that it happened, but they are back into full swing together. There were no children in this marriage so she didn't even have that extra pull. You do! Heyyyyyyyyyy buddy, It could happen!!!! AND BY THE WAY.......My H's bad Brain Period.....enen though we weren't apart, lasted three years (with out me knowing)........then he tired of it and came back to me totally......... [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Like others have said.......they soon, sometimes not so soon........tire of this, or tire of them. You are giving her great gifts......patience, time and yourself.
(((((((((HUGS)))))))))
Almost Happy
-------
TIME [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]

[This message has been edited by Almost Happy (edited February 18, 2000).]

Chris
Don't know if you are awake.
Have a funny feeling you might be.
I just wanted you to know you have been in my thoughts and prayers this last few months especially.
We have some pretty ugly anniversaries in common. I often think of that.
Take care of yourself huh?
That was my mother voice. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
I'm sitting here alone at the computer with my H off on his "holiday". Wondering if I really got anywhere. I guess it's all in the perspective. At least we know we are survivors. One way or another!
You are a survivor you know.
You're right though - seems like a million years, seems like yesterday....

[This message has been edited by wasstubborn (edited February 19, 2000).]

Almost Happy...
D'you think you could get your friends to visit us here at MB? Wow! What an incredibly inspiring little story - 3 years?
Just proves that statistics are right - most of them either come back, or, when it's too late to do so, wish they had come back...
------------------
terri
I believe in miracles...

Chris,
I have learned so much from you and your posts. I have the utmost respect for you, and whether you asked for it or not, I consider you our leader (us betrayed men, still holding out hope). Your conviction, patience, and awesome father figureness (is that a word ? [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] are great assets for all of us to strive towards. Thanks
