OK...
On to your question...
About moving threads from the "read only" forum to this forum...
...it is probably possible... to do so contact
tempest2@hotmail.com ...
Most likely this will not be done since it will set a precedent that everyone will want to follow... and "tempest" will not be able to handle.
The suggestion you will be given is to put a "link" into a current thread that will allow others to get to that "read only" post...
The quickest way to do that is to open 2 windows(browser windows) one
(A) where your editing the new post, and then another
(B) the "read only" post itself
Then you can "right-mouse-button" click on the location(also called the url) of the B-window and then select "copy"
Into the A-window do a "right-mouse-button" click while in the "edit area" and select "paste"
You can actually copy-and-paste the entire thread (one page at a time) by "highlighting" the text (by just dragging the mouse across the text)....
but... the formating will be lost... sorry.
I hope this helped.
I know it sounds complicated... and to some extent is is.
Best of luck!
Jim
[This message has been edited by NSR (edited February 25, 2000).]
