I never thought I'd be disappointed to NOT get a nasty email from the slug. But, I haven't, and I am. Makes me really wonder what happened that evening after I left the pizza place.
Oh, well... I am still working on the ski trip. I am awaiting the arrival of some ski equipment that I purchased, though, so I cannot make any plans as yet. I did talk to my husband the other day and asked him matter of factly if he was going to go skiing with me and teach me how. His response was "I don't have the money." OK - I reminded him that I'd set aside some money for us to go. "You did?" Yes, I had some unexpected extra money and put it away so that I'd have it. "I don't have my skis - I'll have to get hold of [friend with skis] and see if I can borrow some." I reminded him that I had also purchased an extra set of bindings, and he was welcome to them if he wanted ...
We left it that I would call him when the skis came in and arrange a day and time to go. I think. I'll let you know...
------------------
terri
I believe in miracles...

Sayin' prayers that husband will go with you, and have a wonderful time.
Also sayin' prayers that OW continues to control, and lovebust, and drives your husband out of the house!
(Does God answer prayers like that?)
Okay, I pray that your husband sees the truth.
TNT

Good job Terri. You've got to be wondering about after the pizza place, I am...
TNT--I think the "proper" prayer goes something like "God I have anger and bitterness toward this slug and I ask that you work in her heart and I give her completely up to you for your chastisement..." Something like that ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/wink.gif)

Thanks, Forever, TnT and Lor!
On the suggestion of a friend, I took a small break from the forum yesterday, and was only just now able to get back on to read and reply. This friend also suggested that I not call my husband and not worry about anyone but myself. It couldn't have been a better day for that, since we had to bid the president of our college farewell as he retires after 11 years of service. He is suffering from Parkinson's disease and the stress of the job has made it worse... it was a sad time and I was kinda down after that.
So, instead of coming home from work (after 9pm), switching on the computer and sitting down to read yesterday, I figured I would go to the grocery store and get cat litter. The grocery store that sells the brand of cat litter I use is next to the pizza place where my husband works, but since they close at 9pm, I was still complying with my "no contact" day plans (just one day ... for my own comfort level). In order to get to that store, I have to drive past the pizza place.
Wouldn't you know that he was walking out the door (9:30pm) as I approached, and turned and looked, stopped and waited. I was going to honk the horn and drive by, but I noticed the parking lot of the grocery store was EMPTY. So I stopped the car and got out.
Said hello and asked him what time the store closed. He told me 9pm. I also told him I hadn't expected him to still be there at this point, and he said he had stayed to play the video game. He asked me how the car was runnng. I told him that it had just started to make a funny metallic noise the day before. Next thing you know, he is crouched down next to the driver's side front wheel trying to figure out what's wrong with the car.
To make a long story short, it was a very nice, very pleasant encounter. He found out what was wrong with the car and pulled the piece of broken spring off, after which he had to go back inside and wash up (I guess he didn't want the slug to know he'd helped me with my car). He walked back to my car with me and talked to me a little more ... seemed in a way almost reluctant to go. I was the one that ended the conversation, thanking him for helping me with the car.
Today, I didn't call or go there. I visited a friend briefly and came home. I did some housecleaning, talked to my friend on the phone, watched some television and that's about it. A thoroughly relaxing evening.
And I'm off to bed in a couple of minutes.
But before I go, I'd like to address the issue of praying for the slug. I'm sorry - I ask forgiveness daily - but the best I can muster is a request for God to touch her mind and heart and open them to what she is doing - allow her to see that she has no right here. I struggle with ill-wishes and try not to voice them, however, I still wouldn't cry if she got run over by a truck... oops, there I go again! ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/rolleyes.gif)
Thanks for the good wishes evryone... talk to you again soon.
------------------
terri
I believe in miracles...

terri,
I have almost completely given up TV watching, but I do turn on occasionally the Catholic channel...
Every once in a while they have these 2 minute messages...
One was on loving your enemy...
and the priest said... the best way to do this is to "request for God to touch their mind and heart and open them to"... God's will.
You're doing it... ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif)
And of course... love to you too! ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif)
Jim
