In a post to Jill you mentioned that your husband was "physically ill from his lies and secrets." Would you mind elaborating?
I am curious because my W (the betrayer) has had a mysterious pain for the the last six months. Its cause has eluded every doctor and test she has had (Xrays, CAT scans, MRI, gasro intestinal tests, etc.) Inexplicable? Maybe. I felt all along that it might be due to internalized guilt or at least stress due to our situation. I don't doubt that the pain is real, but I'm not convinced that the pain is organic in origin.
2sad,
I just peeked in and saw your post.
After discovery, my H suffered a great deal from the stress. He isn't very good at lying and it took a toll.
He had horrible stomach pains almost constantly. Every time he was deep into lying he would develop cold sores on his mouth. He never did go to the doctor for the stomach pains but I suspect he could have been developing ulcers. I know there was something else but I can't put my finger on it right now.
He has none of those symptoms now and never had them before the affair. Near the end of April last year when he truly started to work towards honesty, he began to improve physically. It was obvious that his guilt and indecision were affecting him severly.
I hope this helped a little. If I remember the other symptom I'll get back to you.
You're wife may very well be suffering from stress. It affects everyone differently.
