I don't know what to do with my H, while he is in depression. Today is a very bad day, I have tried being light in conversations, but he is very depressed. I told him earlier about my friend confronted the OW. She hasn't contacted him, but he has looked on his email and nothing from her. We had lunch together and it was distant. I am going to his bowling games tonight. What do I do?

Any chance to get him to a DR? Meds can make the difference between night and day with a short time.

Maybe someone in a different city,so that his confidentiality is really protected. My H didn't want to admit his depression either.I got a Rx for antidepressants for myself, then gave them to H. He took them for a month and was truly shocked at how much better he felt.It helped think so much more clearly. I know what I did was really not the safest thing to do(I am a nurse so I knew what side effects to look for)but I was desperate for him to feel better. It worked!!

I think Meds. are the thing too.
My H refuses to take a pill for depression because he thinks he can handle it on his own.
They sure have helped me ,it takes about 3 wks.(which seems like foever when you are going thru this) but I don't cry as easy now I feel stonger (emotionally) and I feel more like living life again.
He could always try Herbs but StJW takes almost 8 wks. and is only for mild depression.
SamE works faster but is expensive even at Wal-Mart. Ther are some others DAHD but then again only for mild depression.
------------------
Peg

Get his favorite snack and drink (not beer) and deliver to him without asking. This is the best I can offer.
V.

I am glad I found this info, My W (betrayer) of an EA, is suffering from depression, it was apparent even before Mr. OM came into the picture, so she was ripe, I was not meeting her Emotional needs etc... We just ordered some St. John's W stuff and going to start there, its not constant it infrequent, maybe one or two days a month? ANymore info on depression.
------------------
jnvc

St John's Wort is still a drug, so be careful, there can be side effects. One brand can be very different from another in potency. Talk to your doctor, the more you know the better.
