One of our employees got one of our trucks stuck and tore up the transmission while trying to get "unstuck."
He claims he didn't tear the transmission up...that it was already messed up. H has been driving the truck and says there was nothing wrong with the transmission until he let the employee take it to a job site.
Anyway, H was ranting and raving about the employee lying to him. "I can't stand a liar!" says H. "I'd a whole lot rather somebody tell me the truth when I ask him instead of thinking I'm stupid enough to believe a lie."
[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
This coming from the same man who lied to me for over 13 years about his one night stand with a slut who had an STD, which my H brought home to me!!!!
It was all I could do to keep from saying, "I know exactly what you mean!" But, I didn't. I danged near bit my tongue in two!!!
How can he think that I'm not supposed to be angry about all the lies he told when he gets so angry when someone does him the same way????
Sheesh!!!! Sweetpea -- I hope you didn't need stiches in your tounge after that conversation [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
You're right though. When the logic involves anything other than "their" affair, then usually tend to agree with us completely.
Ironic and sad, isn't it.
God Bless

Sweetpea
I've been thinking of you the last couple of days.
I was wondering if I could borrow the "STD" part to go with "bimbo"
I really was going to send out a distress call. How are you?
Besides the hypocrite part I mean.
I know how you feel. I think my tongue is in a dozen different pieces from not pointing that sort of thing out to H.
Funny thing is, my son had to write an essay on "the most important lesson he has learned".
It was on "Honesty"
Did I show it to his father? No
Did I want to? Guess
And who did he learn it from?
Hang on girl. I think maybe our spirit is coming back? Sweetpea,
How about this one:
My wife was complaining about our pastor because he lets his teenagers listen to inappropriate music and read inappropriate teen magazines. She said church leaders should be more consistent and bring their personal life into line with their preaching.
This is a hoot coming from the former church youth group leader who had an affair with her married youth group co-leader, especially during church youth group outings! Hah! I also had to bite my tongue.
Well, at least we can see the humor in it! [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
About 3 weeks after I found out about my Wifes affair, we were driving to Denver (about 60 miles away.) My then 13 year old daughter asked about dating. My Wife started talking to her about respecting yourself, the guy respecting you, what if he kissed you or put his hand on your butt. All the “good parent” stuff. It was all I could do to keep myself from pulling over screaming & yelling at her, “you stupid, freakin’ hypocrite!” Needless to say, I was fuming, white knuckles on the steering wheel & all.
If she would have applied ANY of the statements she used to herself, she wouldn’t have gotten into this crap.
------------------
Prayers & God Bless!
Chris
For relationship info check out Marriage & Relationship Resources
[This message has been edited by Chris (CA123) (edited March 01, 2000).]

Hey Sweetpea,
Can you say, "Do as I say, not as I do?" Doesn't make a lot of sense to us, does it?
This kind of stuff tickes me off and makes me want to put a Gummy Bear in the microwave, name it Val ask her a question about the marriage or the affair shut the door and hit the minute button and watch slowly as it melts into a small smoldering blob. But, hey, that's only me. It's very theraputic. Make sure you put down a paper towel first. Melted Gummies are hard to get of the glass round thingie later.
Tim

ES,
LOL! No, I managed to stop biting before I did any real damage to myself. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Hi, Wassi,
Feel free to use the STD with bimbo, if you want. STD Bimbo. Has a nice ring to it.
I've been lurking, but not posting much. I wanted to see if I did any better by not voicing my feelings so much. Besides, I have problems with family trying to look over my shoulder when I'm posting, so I don't get much of a chance to post. I also hate to whine so much when I see folks who have things so much worse than I do. H seems to be fairly happy...with me keeping my mouth shut and Plan A-ing, and things going the way HE wants them to go. I'm a little tired of everything always having to be about HIM, though. I'm still angry about the emotional abuse he dished out to me while he was lying to me about everything. I still think he hasn't told me the whole truth. I'm hurt by the fact that he doesn't want to renew our vows, but he was so ugly about the idea the last time it came up that I'm not going there anymore. I want him to WANT to renew our vows--not do it to pacify me. I just feel sorta drained. The same old, same old... [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
2sad4words, sounds as if your wife wants to tend to everybody else's back yard while letting the weeds take over in her own. Maybe she has a different set of rules for teenagers and adults. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] Another thing that gets me is how he can talk about some women as being "nothing but whores", when he's basically done the same thing! [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Gee, Chris, looks like your wife would've figured out that the best way to teach your kids is by example! Sounds like she has the same set of rules as 2sad's wife. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Medic,
LOL!! I don't wanna settle for petrifying Gummi Bears! I just sometimes wish I had a microwave big enough to cram a 6'3", 260-lb. hypocrite into!!!
Bill, yeah, but I wish my H would see the stuff he hates in himself.
