I HAVE FORGIVEN MY HUSBAND FOR AN AFFAIR THAT HE HAD. WE HAVE BEEN WORKING THINGS OUT..SEEMED TO BE GOING OKAY...HE HAS HIS MOODS.. BUT I TRULY BELIEVE THAT HE LOVES ME AND HE REMINDS ME THAT HE DOES. HE JUST CAN'T FORGIVE HIMSELF. HE MOVED OUT THE OTHER DAY TO GET HIMSELF TOGETHER. WE HAVE TWO TEENAGERS AND HE TOLD THEM EVERYTHING. HE APPOLOGIZED AND STATED THAT HE CAN'T EXPLAIN WHY HE DID WHAT HE DID. WHAT DO I DO TO HELP HIM FORGIVE HIMSELF? I CAN'T WAIT FOREVER. DO I GET ON WITH MY LIFE?

Patches, I don't want to sound like a horrible pessimist here, but are you absolutely certain that your husband has not resumed his affair? Many times, the reason a spouse cannot forgive himself is because he hasn't stopped his affair - and a lot of those are the ones who move out.
Aside from that, there isn't much you can do to help him to forgive himself except to use Plan A principles. HE is the only one who can do the self-forgiving.

------------------
terri
I believe in miracles...
