Yes, that's right. I'm taking a vacation from my marital problems. Anyone see "What about Bob?"
Thinking about what I did, what she did, what we could have done over the last 11 years to make it better is driving me crazy. Believe me it's a short ride. Everything I look at makes me think of her. There are triggers all over the place.
I look at our wedding album, what do I think of, Val. Wait, that was a bad example. OK, how about this, I drive past a restaurant or car lot that we visited in the past and BOOM, Val is in my mind.
I don't need this! I have enough stress trying to remember to feed the cats every other week or so. The house is a mess. I NEVER lived like this. There are dead bodies everywhere. Just kidding, not in the bathroom... it's kinda small. See where I'm going with this?
The last three weeks we have been transporting more and more psych patients dealing with relationship problems. [for real] It seems to be the time of season.
It's time to work on us. I am trying and succeding to be a better person for me. If she sees it great. If not I am still improving myself.
Everytime I am reminded of her I think of baseball. Oh, that was something else. I go through a check list of items that need to be repaired around the house, other than the marriage. How I could make the business better and stronger. How much gasoling it would take to burn his house down. Oops, did I say that out loud?

------------------
"It's not over till we say it's over! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? H*ll no!" Blutto...Animal House 1984
Wishing us all the Best.
Medic

Dude,
We all need a vacation from our problems sometimes. Enjoy the trip. Get away, live for yourself. Come back refreshed and ready to try again...and again...and again.. umm heck, don't come back it ain't worth it sometimes.
If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Then give up, no sense being a damn fool about it. LOL [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
I'm thinking about 3 gallons if you have a wood frame house, but maybe 6-7 gallons if your house is brick. Hey Sparky,
Seems like things are looking up for you and Cat. That's great! I really do wish you Guys the best. That's why wer'e here.
I heard the phrase "If at first you don't succeed try to blame some else" Is that what you are thinking of?
OM has a single family dwelling. Two story, appears to be a wooden frame with UGLY yellow vinyl siding. Paid fire department within 1 mile radius. Hydrant on the block. Are you sure 3 gallons would be enough? I don't want to go overkill. That and gas prices are rediculous.
Lastly, I'm trying to develope a sense of humor, but, it's not working.
Thanks Bud.
Tim

Hey Tim,
A sense of humor is about all we have left these days. Better to laugh than to cry.
Are things looking up? I don't know. Cat hasn't posted to my reply yet, so I have to wait for that. Plus I don't know if she will see OM on her way back from St. Louie. That will be huge in my book. One last goodbye. Ugh, not something I want to even think about.
You're right about the gasoline though, too damned expensive anymore. $1.50/gallon. Jeez, that's in rural MO, can't imagine what it is in the city. LOL Prob. get C-4 much cheaper on the street and get the job done more effectively. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Oh well, regardless of what happens, we'll both be better men because of it. At least, that's what we have to tell ourselves.

------------------
Allen
sparky_dog_mb@yahoo.com
