Sidney and her H needs our prayers. H has been having a complete physical. He was tested for male menopause (hormones) can back alright. Doc was worried about some symptoms H was having so doc. ordered a catscan of the brain possible tumor.
Sidney's H had the catscan Mon. then Mon. night doc called and scheduled H for a MRI of the brain. That was at 8 this morning. H was going to return to his place out of town to go to work after the MRI. He told doc. to call Sidney. She didn't know when the results would come in.
She emailed all of this to me this morning. We were suppose to chat but I haven't heard from her. I am worried please say some prayers for her. Things had really started to improve for her and H. He was wanting to come home.
------------------
di

Update. I got an email from Sidney this morning. When H went to have the MRI he was told that he had a cyst not tumor! They still do not know the results of the MRI. Sidney doesn't know when she will find out amymore. She figures that they will be called into talk to the doctor soon.
She did some research on the web. All learned is that some times they try to remove them, some times the drain them and sometime they adopted a wait and see attitude.
Of course all of this depends on what kind of cyst it is. She also found out that sometimes if they do anything with the brain it can cause many things to happen such as memory loss. Also the cyst can cause other problem also. So even tho it isn't a tumor it is still dangerous.
Thanks for your paryers.
------------------
di

Oh Diana, thank you so much for being my intermediary! And, of course, thanks so much to all of you for your kind thoughts and prayers. Can't get enough of those, nowadays!!
Sometimes, I feel as though I am floating in a little raft in the ocean, getting hammered with waves. Before I can hardly catch a breath, the next wave hits!
Diana summed it up pretty well. H has a cyst on his brain, but I don't know right now how serious it is. H is in denial, & trying to run away. So, I'm trying to be strong for him, and keep everything as upbeat as possible. He tends to adopt a fatalistic attitude and I worry that he will just roll over and give up.
The hardest part right now is trying to interpret his actions and separate out the fear, from the symptoms, from the lingering affects of the affair. I just can't tell if his irrational behavior is caused by his illness, his fear of the illness, or the affair!! And, I've been trying to lay low and not push him about anything. But, I just can't do that anymore when it involves his health.
You guys are my lifeline to sanity. Thank you all for being there for me.

Thanks, Dana. Your hugs and prayers are very appreciated. My nightmare began eight months ago (7/10/99 was day of discovery). I always felt deep down that there was something very wrong with H. I'll never know if the brain cyst caused this or if it merely contributed to his irrational behavior. I read a very interesting account of a guy who suddenly disappeared without a trace one day. Turns out he had a brain cyst and went back in time 11 years! He thought he was still in the Army and drove to his old Army base in Ft. Bragg. He told people that his wife was expecting their first child (who was 11 years old!). The neurologist said anytime you're dealing with a mass in the brain, it can cause problems with memory and thinking. I realize that my situation is very rare. It just proves that there can be many, many pieces to this infidelity puzzle.
