I've been pretty busy this week. Hadn't had time to call my husband, so I hadn't spoken to him since Sunday (my last update).
Went out with a friend last night (female) and had waaaaayyyy too much to drink ... and was out very late. So today I didn't feel too great (I have to remember I can't DO this partying all night stuff anymore!) - actually, to be honest, I felt pretty horrible...
I managed to get up for a while this afternoon and while I was in the shower, my husband called from work. So I called him back. Asked him "what's up?" and he said nothing ... then told me that the new Discover Cards had arrived in the mail. Apparently he wants to give me mine. Go figure. A weak excuse for calling, if you ask me ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif)
He sounded as if he was up for a long chat, but I had another call and had to cut the call short. Perhaps absence is the way to make his heart grow fonder ... whattya think?
------------------
terri
I believe in miracles...

Hey Terri,
I've been fighting with myself if absence is the way to make the heart grow fonder or if out of sight out of mind. Plan A vs Plan B.
I'm way too close to my situation and can not honestly make a cognitive decision and have decided that Jim is right. I'm out in left field. I must stay in Plan B. If Brian can fill the shoes that I should have the past 11 years, so be it. I lose, plain and simple. I had the chance and blew it. If he can't maybe our marriage has a chance.
A relationship can not be turned off like the bath room light. Oh, heck, I left the light on, gotta turn it off. Doesn't work that way. We hurt, they hurt, even if we don't realize it.
I will agree that it is at best a very weak excuse to call regarding the Discover card. That is in your favor. He did call.
Somethings going on upstairs.
Don't give up the good fight.
Tim
Tim: I feel exactly the same way - too close to really see what's going on. Yet, who can judge our spouses better than ourselves? I dunno.
Chris: They are ALL loonies, that's for sure. As for the Discover Card thing - I've always been on the account. I knew the new cards should be coming and had wondered what he would do with mine. I figured it would be his "chance" to cut another piece of "us" out of his life ... guess I figured wrong.
Jim: Absolutely ... confused...
Thanks guys!
------------------
terri
I believe in miracles...

Terri,
Sounds good what ever the reason. I can't figure anyone's spouse especially mine. Like you have kept in touch. however, mine was through cards and letters. BUt then he started calling once a week just to talk about what to do with our house. THen he tracks me down to find my new mailing address so he can write me a letter, then causally he says he can't use the phone at work right now they are cracking down on people because some were on the phones to much. He never calls when she is around. So he writes me a letter actually I wish he would write more I found out more from that letter.
I see a crack or glimmer for both of us sounds like they are beginning to step toward the light of reality.
You might decrease how much you talk to him. See if he starts calling you more?
I mean I like you don't know what to think anymore.

------------------
di

Hi Terri,
A couple options come to mind (remember, this is my mind and you might not want to take my advice right now... ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/grin.gif) )
1) Get the card. Charge it up at really intriguing stores, ie Victoria's Secret, Spencer's Gifts (naughty stuff, if you don't have this particular chain in your area), Bath & Body Works, thus opening many future discussions as he tries to get you to pay and/or wonders what you are up to. (this is pretty obvious game-playing)
2) tell him you don't want the card as you think you should be now thinking about separating your finances. (but then, he could agree, and that might not be at all what you want)
Okay, just bad advice today. Ignore.

------------------
Lor
"Let love be genuine...hold fast to what is good; love one another." Rom 12:9-10
