Hi everyone,
I haven't been one for a long time, so I'm not sure if anyone even remembers me!
Quick update. H had affair that started Feb 99. Moved out July 99 and filed for divorce Sept 99.
We have a 2 1/2 yo that is having difficulty with visitations, so often times I "tag along".
Anyway, I have decided to Plan A him, once again before the divorce is final. I don't know if I will get the results I am hoping for, but I really feel like I have to give this one more push.
I'm going to need lots of encouragement and support. I've not had great results before.
H has been including me in his life conversations again, calling every day, wanting to be my friend. I figure if nothing else, we will be able to remain freindly for our daughters sake.
Thanks for listening!
God bless,
Cheryl

Hi Cheryl,
Well, you poked your head into my thread so I had to poke mine into yours. ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif)
I certainly remember you! I also like your idea of giving it one more shot. We can't live with any regrets in holding our marriage together. Whatever the outcome, giving it everything you have will help you.
I think if you're back to "friends" status that is certainly a big improvement. As you know, it took me a long time just to get there with my wife. Keeping communication open and maybe dating again will help him remember why he fell for you in the first place.
Hope for the best, pray without ceasing, and let the Lord guide you.
SHA

Sir,
Thanks for the encouragement. You are so right, that we can't live with any regrets, wondering if..
I think "dating" right now may be a stretch, since OW is still in the picture. But, I will try and show him how I've changed and that I would love another chance at being a family, with him as my husband.
I am glad you and your wife are working at your marriage. Perservance, right?
I will let the Lord guide my path, and show me the right words and actions.
Thanks again. It's good to hear from you!
Jamie-Lee,
Thanks for checking in on me. My daughter and I are doing well. We just got back from vacation in California! We had a great time. Thanks for your support and prayers.
What's happening in your life. Fill me in. I've been out of touch with the board.
God Bless,
Cheryl

Cheryl,
My vote would definitely be to give it a try, he's giving you an opening as he want to remain your friend. Our consellor, told us when W still wasn't sure she wanted to stay married, that we should try to work at being each other's best friends, sharing information as you would with your best friend and seeing each other as much as we could.
At the time it was hard for me to understand the logic in this, because I saw it as a step down (I wanted the marriage to continue), later though I discovered the wisdom in it, as it takes off the pressure of the spouse, of feeling pushed right back into the a marriage that wasn't all that happy, but on the other hand let the communication channels be open, and come to realize that the other person is truly a person worth being your best friend (or at least working hard on it).
And the better the friendship gets, the better the chance of getting together again, it also takes away time from the OW ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif)
I hope this helps.

Cheryl,
I don't know If I can fill you in on the "Days of Jamie Lives" Drama series in one post, but it's been a hell of a ride. Like yourself I'm returning to Plan A. You can read my lastest post on the Divored/Divorcing forum, it'll give just a brief overview.
But I'm so happy to see you back here. You were definitely missed. But welcome back....
------------------
"If you can learn from the mistakes of others, you won't have to make them youself."
lady_divine77@yahoo.com

![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif)
Good for you!
CC- think about some welbutrin or something like that. It helps you have that extra minute you need before you LB.... I know it helped me!
We are doing so much better - SD only comes over to get another bag of clothes, and she is not much of a topic at our house because of the conflict.
OW is engaged, that is good. I still don't like seeing her every day - especially since it is nice weather, she is outside on her mother's lawn (across the street) WAY too often, but I stand guard at the window... until she goes back inside!
Xwife is 4 doors down across the street. She took a walk and stopped at our driveway to talk to my husband Fri night, and I was not a happy camper. I went outside, and asked my son to put his bike in the garage (we were leaving for the weekend) and did not make any contact, or acknowledge her presence, and she finally left. My husband attacked me verbally as soon as he got in the house - (good offense is a good defense?) and I steamed off at him for just a few minutes, and even went outside and got my clothes out of the truck and told him to go to Wisconsin with out me. He and my son left, and 5 minutes later he came home and said his future was with me, and to put my clothes back in the truck, and let's go. ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/wink.gif)
I shut up, and then in my mind I said "I forgive you, Mike", over and over again, and pretty soon - I was much calmer. I still didn't feel like forgiving him, but I think mentally it helped me keep from lovebusting.
By the next day it was a mute point for me, and she hasn't been a topic of conversation either.
There is a lake house for sale that is next door to a friend, and the friend's husband is a pastor. He is really cool - and my husband seems to get along with him. My husband made contact with the owner today, and hopefully tonight we can make an offer. The best part about it is that it is OUT OF THIS TOWN!!!! AND.... It is vacant!!!!! yipee!!! So say a prayer for this!
Listen to Lori. She's been there and then some. Her opening was that her and her husband were "friends". She took it slow and look where she is now. We are rooting for you, out here in the grandstands. Be his friend first. That is the most important thing. We know your motives, but friendship first. Good Luck and lots of prayers for you!
TNT

Wow, I guess I am still remembered! This is sooooo cool!
Sheba- I am doing great. Actually, I'm looking better and feeling better than I have in my whole life. And, since I am feeling so good, and still wanting my H back, I figured I needed to try one last time.
I'm hoping to control my LBing. I am confident that I can. My mantra, " I will NOT lovebust"!
Thanks for missing me and for the hugs!

Jim-
Thanks for the welcome back and for your help and encouragement, as always.
I continue to pray for you and your family. I need to catch up on all the goings on here!
Love ya!
Sadman-
I'm sorry, I don't know your story, but I will check out your profile!
Thanks for the encourageing words and the vote of confidence.
