[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] i vote explore all options before drawing any conclusions!! angels are regarded as God's messengers... angels always communicate to us through love. there are angel tarot cards and folks who do angel readings. from my study of tarot.. most recommend talking to your guardian angel or God to ask for assistance, guidance and give thanks. i have found no literature suggesting that psychic powers come from evil sources exclusively.
psychic abilities or knowingness is a skill that develops with practice!! there is no magic in rune stones, tarot cards, crystal balls, tea leaves or palm readings. the information good psychics share with you is stuff you already know either consciously or subconsciously. psychics cannot predict the future.. what they can tell you is if you continue on the same path you are travelling right now this is the likely outcome. you have your free will to change your path anytime.
like doctors, lawyers and school teachers... there are some very good, honest gifted psychics... and also some dishonest, bad ones!!
check out this website:
www.AngelTherapy.com would you please read her frequently asked questions section??
my humble opinion only, please take what fits for you and discard the rest!!
"love like you have never been hurt.. Don't waste your time.
All psychics are frauds. They are going to take advantage of your desperation and get money out of you in return for telling you things that are either false or meaningless.
Regards,
rs0522

In general, I vote for staying away from psychics too, but there are definitely some good ones out there. I just came back from seeing one. I asked about stuff I already knew the answers to just to see if he was on the right track. He was. I asked about the future with my H. he said he wouldnt change. I asked if he was still actively running around, and he told me about another girl that has been under my nose for years!
To make a long story short, I acted like the information came from the girl in question and confronted my H with it. Turns out it is true.
My God. Does the deceit ever end? I am so wounded that it doesn't even hurt any more. Just numb.

I don't think they're all fakes.
My friend and I had talked about going for years and finally did.
I did not provide any information.Didn't request answers to any questions. Just told psychic to tell me whatever.
OK, couple of things were a given. Talked to me about smoking.. yeah smelled it.Had on wedding rings so ok knows I'm married. But it was after that she continuely hit the nail on the head...talked about my martial problems,I didn't provide a response.Told me it was very, very serious.Stated without some kind of counseling things would not "fix" themselves.
"Saw" lots of tears, but some happiness also.
During this same session, I kept repeating in my head for psychic to tell me something about my mother,(she's deceased). This woman brought up the subject.Concidence?Maybe.
I would go again, but not to look for answers.I think you have to determine your own "fate".

Scoick,
If you believe in God, and trust Him as your Savior do not have anything to do with psychics. They are deceivers, just as they are being deceived by the master deceiver, Satan.

Darla -
Oh, come on. In a country where 40 - 50% of all marriages end up in divorce, how lucky is a guess about marital problems? And every psychic is going to talk about departed relatives.
I repeat - ALL psychics are frauds.
If you go to a psychologist for advice, would you not check their credentials? If you go to a doctor, would you not check for an M.D.degree? Why would you go to someone for advice about your life based on the fact that they claimed to have magic powers?
Some psychics are good at reading body language. They make a bunch of general statements and look for your reactions. The rest is just a standard rap they do with everyone that sounds good but means nothing in particular.
Psychics, astrology, flying saucers, Elvis sightings. All rip-offs that responsible adults do not waste their time with.
Talk to your friends if you need advice. They know you better, and are not out for your money.
Regards,
rs0522

I personally believe that some psychics are frauds and some are not. There is nothing that says that demons or Satan won't make things seem right or even make things go your way for a while - anything to get your sights away from God. If he has to give a psychic a little insight then that is what he will do. Has anyone read 'Screwtape Letters'?

I've read ScrewTape Letters and do not remember anything about psychics but do see your point (a very good point) on how they (or almost anything) can pull us away from the TRUTH and I recommend this book to ALL. Anything by CS Lewis is worth reading and reading again.
I am sure there are others on this board who can quote the exact reference but I am sure in the Old Testament seeking advice from the likes of a psychic is to be avoided. This is eternally dangerous and may open the door to ultimately more suffering. Why not study this issue using a good reference Bible?
I would seek your answers by direct prayer and reading and praying through the Sciptures (IMHO a much better use of your time then visiting a psychic). God has (is) the Truth and promises to reveal Himself to those who seek after Him. "Seek ye first the kingdom of God... and then all these things will be added unto you..."
Anyway, email me if you want to discuss this further.
Best,
Rob
Triumph2@mail.com

[This message has been edited by Triumph2 (edited May 17, 2000).]
