I can understand if my H wants away from me. Fine, but what about the kids? He is getting more distant from them , calling them less & less, and when he sees them on alternate weekends, he doesn't do anything at all with them. He spends more time with OW's son than he does his own. Does he not care about them anymore, either or is this distance coming from guilt?
AD

All I can say is that it is one thing when it is the spouse that is betrayed, but to give up on your children is what makes me so angry with my H. BUT he does not see it that way. He states "if they need me to do things, they will call me" and yet, he has turned all requests down and sees them on his terms. So he wants it both ways...NO RESPONSIBILITY AND ALL THE FUN. After all...raising children is one of the hardest things to do in life as a parent. Marriage requires work too and many of the infidels never really had to work to hard at this either as the betrayed spouse often 'enabled' the other to fell comfortable and have it all. Just my opinion.
The only thing I have learned that no matter how well you think you know someone, you never really do. There is no forgiveness in my mind for a parent who walks out on the children for their own self gratification, especially when they had so much in the first place.

Reversing the gender roles here...
I have the kids (3)... and my W left us to be with OM...
When we were working out the details...
she wanted originally visitation every other weekend... and to see them 2-3 days during weekdays...
Only 2 times in over 3 months(since leaving us) has she came on a weekday!
I really think she is enjoying the fantasy world so much... and giving up all responsibilities is just FUN! Like willbok99 says! Definitley a part of MLC!
She doesn't completely ignore the kids...
But... this was the first weekend it was just her... the OM and the kids
Up until now... for the 3 months... she always had OM's kids come to entertain our kids. She has become so close to OM's family (even OM's 1st W... OM is still married to 2nd W)... and W has become soooo distant from her mom/sisters/brother!
She has never spent a weekend with our kids... where it was just her and our kids!!!!
I think she fears the "conversations"...
I think she would bring up more guilt...
(since part of the conversation would have to include me)
My W did virtually nothing with my kids...
Left them for 2 hours in her apt. while she and OM went furniture shopping... sheesh!
I don't understand it either... ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/frown.gif)
Hope your understanding impoves... ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif)
Jim
