reading a post elsewhere has triggered this question...
thinking back to your affair, how would you imagine you would have felt and reacted if your affair partner had revealed your affair to a spouse without your consent whilst you were in it?
what are the motivations behind someone disclosing an affair whilst it's still going?
many thanks!
[This message has been edited by azure (edited June 19, 2000).]

I would have been upset, to say the least. I think that if the OP discloses this to the spouse, that they want to bring things to a head.

I was a betrayer that confessed but I didn't do it behind the OM's back. He too confessed. I got a point where I could no longer carry on a double life. During my affair was the most miserable time in my life. I would think a person would do this for one of two reasons. They either want to work on their marriage and they want their spouses help and forgiveness or they want out of their marriage.
