My husband and I have been married for 4 years. We both have children from previous relationships, but none together. My two boys consider my husband as their father. We are both attending college to further our education, and he also works. He recently walked out on us, taking all of his belogings. His reason for this is that he can't put up with my lack of emotions any more. I won't deny the fact that I need help in this area. After his departure I found out from a family member that he has been having an internet affair for a little over a month now. He denied this at first, but eventually fessed up. He tells me that this female was able to give him the emotional bond that he needed. He swears that they were only friends, but she did make him feel good about himself. He also swears that they never met, but they did exchange phone conversations on his new cell phone, that I wasn't allowed to touch. He is now begging for us to get counseling so that we can work things out. But he won't move back in, until we get help. He insists upon staying in his new apartment, which is in his hometown, with all of his old flings and friends. He now lives 45 minutes away and I have no clue how he spends his time and it is killing me. He comes over occasionally, but it seems as if he is only interested in sex. He also calls at least once a night to kind of check in, I guess. He is now saying that his uncle is very ill and he feels obligated to stick around and help him out.
I also found out after he left that he had been going to strip clubs, he swears that he only went once, while we were together.(I found the pictures). But that isn't really the point, before we got married it was his idea to promise each other that we would never enter a bar or club without the other one present.
Just one more area that I need to inform you about. Before he left he had been doing some construction work for friends in his hometown, he was suppose to be making $50.00 a day, but I have no clue where this money was going. He is the one who has been in charge of the bills for the past few years. I have also learned now that he has kept our money problems a secret from me. His reason for this was to keep me from stressing about money, which I do have a tendency to do.
I love my husband dearly, but I don't trust him or believe anything he says anymore. I just want him to be honest with me about everything. I am also concerned about my two boys losing another male role model in thier lives, they really adore this man, and for the most part he is a wonderful husband. I desperately need some outside advice. Don't hesitate to say what you feel please!!!
