Sorry for the delay, I've had a 'bit' going on lately, like the last 2 months since he's lived here. Anyway, that is not what this thread is about....
Here is the receipe for the bath bombs that I promised what seems like years ago. I hope you all enjoy them.
MATERIALS
*Bicarbonate of Soda
*Citric acid (needs to be a very fine powder otherwise bath bombs will not stick together)
*Sieve
*Mixing bowls and spoon
*Essential oils (orange, lime, lemon or desired fragrances)
*Sweet Almond Oil (from pharmacies(drugstores) or health food stores)
*Food coloring (we used red, yellow and green)
*Teaspoon
*Moulds (any non-porous open-mouthed form will work)
STEP 1
All materials must be very dry to stop mixture fizzing
**To make the base mixture (enough for 4 bombs)
Seive one and a half cups of bicarbonate of soda and half a cup of citric acid into a bowl. Stir until they are well combined.
**To make a bath bomb: Divide the base mixture into half-cup portions. Mix the essential oil and fool coloring of your choice and the sweet almond oil (see below for recipes). Pour the oil mixture into a half cup of the base mixture, stirring quickly.
STEP 2
**Keep mixing the oil mixture into the base mixture with your fingertips, until it stays compressed when squeezed.
STEP 3
**Wipe a little almond oil inside the mould to ensure the bath bomb slips out easily. Fill the mould a little at a time and press firmly as you go.
Step 4
**When you reach the top, neaten the edges, turn the mould over, bang it firmly on a flat surface and slip out the bath bomb. Let it set for 24 hours.
ORANGE BATH BOMB
Mix 6 drops of orange essential oil, half a teaspoon of sweet almond oil, 5 drops of red food coloring and 7 drops of yellow food coloring. Add to the base mixture as in Steps 1 & 2.
LEMON BATH BOMB
Mix 6 drops of lemon essential oil, half a teaspoon of sweet almond oil, and 15 drops of yellow food coloring. Add to the base mixture as in steps 1 & 2.
LIME BATH BOMB
Mix 6 drops of lime essential oil, half a teaspoon sweet almond oil and 15 drops of green food coloring. Add to the base mixture as per steps 1 & 2.
The picture in the magazine had heart shaped ones, stars, round ones, half balls etc. My friend Sandi who gave me the receipe even puts rose petals in hers.
enjoy, enjoy, enjoy..........
love hugs and prayers to you all
Jo

Hey Bonnet,
That receipe was great! I can't believe it. You sent it just in the knick of time. I wasn't sure what to serve before hand. I had a small party here and they went over just fabulous. Orange was the favorite!
Everyone asked for seconds and thirds! They wanted to know how to make 'em. HA, I wouldn't tell them.
Your the best!
------------------
"It's not over till we say it's over! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? H*ll no!" Hey Jo,
The date didn't go so well. She called from three blocks away and made a comment about my mother. Bad start. The ugly D word came up too.
I went in last week for a filling and she stayed with me for almost the entire time. Two hours, I'm not a very good patient.
This past Thursday I went in for a cleaning. Had to get the tar and nicotine off the teeth. Not very attractive to find a third W. I spoke to her briefly in the supply room. She brought up that it's been a year and a half and thinks D is for the best. I said OK and walked up to the front desk. She came up and asked if I was going to sign the final papers. Told her I might as well. Her response was "You don't have to" She is not ready to get rid of me yet.
We are in a very disfunctional relationship. There is something so wrong with us. I believe given some more time we well be back together. There is something between us. Don't know what it is.
I have learned so much here and am a better person for it. If this relationship doesn't work, I know that the next one will. That and I stuck her with the dumb dog. ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif) OK, I got the cats, but they are easier to take care of.
Hope things are well down under.
Zippy

Hey Butterfly,
hope you enjoy them. I think they are wonderful, and so do my girls. They quite often have bath bombs and candles while in the bath, and their behaviour is unbelievable. They are so relaxed and good. We also play classical music after 5 pm, which helps too. Obviously from the tone of this post, you'll get the picture that after 5pm used to be awful in this household. They argued over the tv (4 1/2 and 2 yo mind you !!!) wouldn't come to the dinner table for dinner etc etc etc. We changed a few things and bingo, it's actually quite pleasant. I'm enjoying my children again.
They are worth the effort to make.
WilliamJ - missed you too. First of all, after making them, you then put them in the bath and watch them fizz up. You then get in the bath, (hopefully not by yourself!!!) and luxuriate in the fizzing and the beautiful aroma. (NOT what some other brightspark mentioned what he thought bath bombs were......) LOL
It really is quite decadent, I have candles, soft music, glass of wine, usually my book as there is no-one else in the bath with me!! and just relax. Wonderful. The only down side here at the moment is that it is winter, and my bathroom is quite cold. I don't have a heater in it, so I have to keep topping up the hot water. The other night I fell asleep and woke up in quite cool water. Not nice....
Anyway, I posted a little bit of an update on the divorcing/divorced site - that seems to be where I am headed.
Since he's lived here, he has not made any effort to maintain a friendship, or let actions speak louder than words. He of course will tell you differently. He has invited me out for lunch twice (in two months) both of which I went to and they were quite nice. That's it. He has not invited me over to his house, for coffee, lunch or dinner. He has the children only on his weekends (every second weekend) and has made no attempt to see them at any other time. This is after asking me to be flexible, he didn't want to have to stick to just every second weekend. He wanted to see them more. Yeah right. he's remembered how much hard work they are.
He had also made arrangements to go up the coast with another woman (the 3rd since I left) and just could not understand how I would not read 'things' into that. His words were "as usual Jo, you've got it all wrong. She's just a friend who is offering to show me around. There's nothing in it." This girl, mind you, lives in Sydney, a mere 1000 km's away.......
I did say to him (little LB)
"oh, are you having separate rooms then?" His response was a dirty look....
It just seems so hopeless.
I know that a lot of his inability to communicate and 'fix' things up can be traced directly back to his childhood. He was brought up in an environment where they didn't deal with conflict, or communicate about anything. They pretended problems never existed, or simply stopped speaking to whoever was giving them the problem. Both his parents had a parent they don't/didn't speak to, both parents have siblings they don't speak to, and they don't have many friends. Now they can add a DIL to the list of people they don't speak to anymore.
The classic example is my eldest d broke her wrist last Wed. I spoke to my BIL on Sunday night, and they didn't know anything about it. My H hadn't bothered to ring and tell them. You can bet your last dollar his parents don't know either. They probably do by now, but have not bothered to call. Unforgivable isn't it, how can they do it to the little ones.
H has also said that he doesn't want a divorce, but would like more time. More time for what?? To fool around with 1000 more women before making up his mind that he wants me. Not likely. He doesn't even use protection. Yep, he admitted that to me. What an idiot. As if I would have sex with him after knowing he had been with god knows how many women and not used protection.
He is supposed to be coming over tonight to give me the residency papers (custody papers). He did say that we could talk about the divorce papers, maybe he has changed his mind. I have a feeling he won't even show up.
Seems so hopeless from where I sit. I don't know how to get through to him. He seems to be doing everything wrong that it's possible to do. It's almost as if he is floundering and drowning, but is happy to do so. Either that, or aliens came in and ate his brains..
Anyway, that's it in a nutshell. Sad, but true.
How are you going?
It's so good to be back here, and talking to some old friends. I don't really know why I went away. I guess I felt that I had nothing to offer anyone. The sense of peace that I get from talking to everyone here, and realizing that I'm not alone is wonderful. I guess I just went into hibernation for a while. It is winter here after all......
talk to you soon, love and hugs to you
Jo

Hi inamess,
we can buy all the supplies from a supermarket over here in Austalia. Even the citric acid - which is usually with all the spices/baking things. Bicarb of soda should be in the same aisle. I sometimes make my own lemon cordial, with fresh lemons, and citric acid is needed for that. I think it's just some sort of preservative. It's the bicarb that makes them fizz.
hope that helps
Jo

Here is a good “shower bomb.”
Take a Contact cold capsule apart & dump the “tiny time pills” out. Fill with blue dye. Remove shower head & put the capsule in the pipe & reinstall the shower head.
No wait. This isn’t really a good idea.

Hey Chris,
but can I drink the water?????????
I think we must be the only 2 on the board tonight. This time difference is a killer sometimes. It's only 3.30 pm here. By the time you all get on, it's feed and bath time here at the zoo !!!!!!

I don't post much anymore, but lurk occasionally...I remember about the bath bombs... TOTALLY COOL that you shared the recipe. I printed it out, and look forward to a good (!! ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif) !!) bath tonight (even if it is alone!). I have to go to the pharmacy this afternoon at lunch time, so I'll pick up what I need... this is one of the neatest things I've ever read!
Thank you!!
~Sheryl
