well this takes the cake, H and OW are messing with my 16 year old son's head and I am mad about it. Deception still continues, (what a surprise) and I dont understand why its necessary to play mind games with a kid. Now son tells me OW may come to his band concert on Wed since his dad can't come because of work. I am so angry about this I cant see straight. If anyone has any suggestions on how to feel better please tell me. I am so frustrated angry and alone.

------------------
joanne

Knowing nothing about it I can only offer some generalities.
You can't control your ex or his new whatever. So there is only so much to be gained from being angry about their behavior no matter how ridiculous. I suggest stick with the controllable, which is your own behavior. If you make sure and act to the best of your ability and in a way you feel good about, maintaining your own standards and dignity, you'll do fine. Let your ex and the new W do whatever they propose to do so long as it does not interfere with your rights as a person and a mother. Eventually if you give them enough rope they will hang themselves. I have often found that it is not necessary to worry about the actions of others for long. They usually end up sinking their own ship. The better the decisions they make, the better the consequences will be; the worse they act, the worse the consequences will be. You don't have to do anything but be patient. Just make sure you clearly understand where the boundary between you and them is.
