![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif)
I didn't get much sleep last night, but feeling SO, SO good this morning! My H and I had a heart to heart when he got home at midnight! I told him, "I really need to discuss something with you. You are my best friend, and I can talk to you about everything but this. I thought I could handle this myself, but I can't and I'm asking for your help and support." (I prepared that intro before he got home! ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif) )Then I proceeded to tell him about talking to OM, etc. It did bother him a bit at first, but the more we talked, the more he understood. He told me if OM calls in the future then I just need to hang up and not say a word. He said, "I wish you would have just hung up on him and not said anything." I told him I agreed, but everything had just piled up and I faltered. That's why I was telling him so that he could help me. I told him that I needed his support and he should be my "sponsor" person. It was such a relief getting through that talk! I'm so glad I did it! Thank you guys!!!
So, I told him MB suggests the no contact letter and would he help me w/it, or at least approve it. He said he would, so I'll work on that this morning so we can mail it together at lunch time! I feel like a HUGE weight has been lifted. I'm prepared to deal w/the phone call from OM this morning, maybe I'll get lucky and he won't call! But, he probably will. I think once I tell him that I can't talk to him, then he'll get the hint.
I'm on the right track, just as long as I can stay on it!!! I got that fence post out of my rear, ouch! It does hurt!!! ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif)
Thank you all for helping me!!!!

momma,
Now you are talking; literally and figuratively. ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif) It will still be hard, but it seems to me you just stepped over the line and joined your H's team. It will take awhile for him to adjust to having someone on his side, but I suspect he will learn to like it as you get used to being there.
momma, hang in there, you are doing well and you do seem to have a great H.
God Bless,
JL

Hey Momma! What good news! I am so thankful your husband had such a good response. Your intro speech was very good and I'm sure that helped to set the supportive environment for talking. I am happy for you. Keep us posted! It does make all the difference to have a supportive spouse and I'm sure your husband likes that role also.

JL, I was going to tell you that you're right about my H and I working together. You said in another post that I was saying a lot of "I" and not "We", and you are exactly right. I know now that I'm not fighting this alone (I felt like I was all along). I think w/my H's support, we can conquer this! You're right, he is a great guy! Thanks for your encouragement and perspective! You are always right on target no matter how much it may "sting"! ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif)
BTW, JL, do you have a story here? Just wondering what situation brought you here.

[This message has been edited by momma (edited June 26, 2000).]

momma,
Just wanted to say...you are one brave woman. Way to give your husband the credit he deserves. He's there for you!!!
You did it momma. You faced your biggest fear and came out a winner. I am proud of you. Hope this gives some inspiration to others in your boat to do the right thing, because it feels good doesn't it?
Way to go.
allison

Yaaaay, momma. ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/wink.gif)
Sounds like he's hearing you!!
And he CAN help you as I've shared before. Not just to avoid OM, but learning to fill your love bank. Fill that void with a new love, and you'll be STRONG. ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif)
------------------
Cindy
