I feel a need to step out of this infidelity for a minute.
Living single with my 3 year old D Abigal, and am in need of some simple meals, or dishes. I know I can't feed her chicken nuggets forever.
She did try my seven layer salad.Recipe as follows.
It's kind of an eyeball dish, so you can make as much or as little you want.
1 head lettuce- chopped
spring onions-chopped
early peas- I use frozen
Dukes mayonaise- if your not in the south
try Hellmans
salt & pepper
sugar
parm. cheese
cheddar cheese
crispy bacon
put lettuce in a bowl, even on bottom, layer onions& peas. Spread mayo as even as possible use to taste, litely s&p, sprincle sugar on mayo, I use 1-2 Tbs. parm cheese, cheddar, crumbled bacon. chill for an hour or so.
I was affraid to try it at first now I can't get enough.
enjoy,
Bill
------------------
BB
Bill,
I am going to try that....
my 3 year old will NOT eat....unless it IS chicken nuggets....LOL......I even had to save a mcdonalds bag.....cause if they don't come in one, he will not eat'em...
I have some luck with rice dishes of any kind...but this angel'o'mine won't even eat peanut butter sandwiches!!! tuna, yes, peanut butter, nope.....
I also put vanilla ice cream (its a dairy product if its all-natural!!LOL) on certain vegetables....
let me know what else works for you.....I'm really starting to pull my hair out...
all the best to you and your angel, abigail...
p.s.: I know that the hugs and cuddling I get from my little one has saved my sanity...I know she brings you just as much joy....
Dylan

Bill, I seriously think so.
I have worried that he was starving himself..goes 2 days without eating much...really wierd....but doc says completely normal....
also, if its chocolate or cookie, he will eat.....so, I know its just his way of controlling things...
remember, abigail may not 'know' what is going on, but she knows something is, and often, little ones want a feeling of control over their lives....eating and not eating is something they themselves can control...much to our aggravation....since Discovery, I have noticed such a change in mine..i actually wanted to post a thread about 3-4 year olds...they know something is up..
it would be interesting to see what else our "betrayed" kids have in common..
give abigail a hug...even if it is from a 'stranger'
dylan

I read somewhere that children as young as a year know whats going on. Mommy and daddy aren't slleping together.
Abbey's acted out in other ways, I didn't think about eating. She does know her family is not like it used to be. I was hopeing for a break from this now I'm crying.
Food that's what I was interested in.
Need some new ideas.
Thanks,
Bill
------------------
BB
My three year old grandson is into peanutbutter sandwiches. That is all he want to eat. Pjsandwiches are good for you especially with a glass of milk. THree year olds go through all sorts of eating habits. They eat when they are hungry not always what you want them to eat but we all survived.
------------------
di

I have a three yr old and a 15mtn old....eating is a hard thing. Trying new things is like pulling teeth. There is a cookbook out there that makes things fopr kids that are good and that they might actually eat.....I will try to find it and pass some of the info along... I have found if I cut the sandwich with a cookie citter or give it a funny name they will at least try it....hope I helped..
amanda

I believe that in foreign cultures...like us Canadians, ketchup is a food group unto itself...at least until the age of 10.
dylan

My kids always liked fish sticks.
I remember the first time one of them ordered fish in a restaurant, and was very upset that REAL fish didn't come in sticks!!!!
Oh, by the way, ask Lor about the very nutritious Pop Tarts and Bacon entree...! ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif)
Roll Me Away
------------------
"Life is made up, not of great sacrifices or duties, but of little things in which smiles and kindnesses and small obligations, given habitually, are what win and preserve the heart and secure comfort."
Sir Humphry Davy
Roll Me Away - Don't mentioned poptarts and bacon, my H may think people are trying to influence me to make it for him.
My 6 year old is always asking for ice cream or to go out to eat. She's gotten to the point where she doesn't like my cooking at all. Wonder why? Maybe it's because I'm not making poptarts and bacon for dinner....
