Last night I had a taste of what my h often goes through on the road. He was glad I was there to share it. Is that some sort of recreational companionship?? He actually enjoys mobility for its own sake, I just want to get there...
First we have been in Argentina all week, kids are with his parents. Yesterday, he got up at 6:30 am. to catch a flight to Brazil, but there was a major delay so he came back to the hotel in time for lunch. None of this phases him.
He was done in Argentina so we had to go somewhere with the day he had left. He tells me we are going to Uruguay and we decide the boat is a bit slower, but less hassle than the plane. They rerouted the boat due to an impending storm, and were saying they would cross the river and put us all on buses.
We went to plan B. Two attempts to leave the country down, one to go. We did make the flight after endless immigration lines. We had to board a bus to the plane and got to enjoy the frigid weather again. Anyway, we did finally make it here to the hotel, went up to eat, and ran into big shots from his Co. We sat with them until 11:30 while they finished their dinner. I was drooling by this time...
I hope it doesn't sound like a vent. I guess it IS all in the perspective we have because I thought it was pretty funny. If we had not been able to get on that plane last night (full flight), we were going to try to go home a day early since we had already checked out. I do miss my little ones.
