Well got info from my Dr that he thinks I have HPV (human papilloma virus) an STD. Do any of you know anything about this? Routes of infection, incubation period, treatment (male and female...as now my husband is wondering), basically anything you could tell me would be greatly appreciated.

Hi...I know very little about it and don't want to give the wrong info. But there are a few good sites on the Web that I use for medical info, maybe they would have info and help you...
one of easiest to navigate is www.onhealth.com Just search on HPV and you will find some articles.
www.webmd.com is also a good resource for information. Just go to the consumer section and search on HPV.
There are different types of HPV so I'm sure your doctor can tell you what you have an what it means for you.
Good luck and hugs your way.

HPV is a sexually transmitted disease, but it has a long incubation period. Unless you have only had one partner, it could have been passed on a long time ago. Generally it shows up within 3 months of contact though.
There are many strains of HPV, so what applies to one does not necessarily apply to another. If you do a search on www.ask.com, you can find a lot of information. Or see your doctor of course!
