Jo,
Thanks for your warm thoughts.
I don't know if you like poetry or not.
This is my alltime favorite, it always gives me a boost.
IF
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you
But make allowance for their doubting too,
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:
If you can dream - and not make dreams your master,
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it all on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on!"
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much,
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!
I know it's written in the masculine, but Kipling has a way with captureing life on the written page.
It's ok to feel down, you'll get tired of it and do something different. At least that's how it is with me. Hang in there,
Bill
------------------
BB
It's o.k. to feel sad.
With so many things happening and us trying to be strong we sometimes forget that we're hurting.
A Hug to you
Kat

------------------
Each and everyone of us is deserving of a kind word, a gentle thought, and the gift of understanding.
[This message has been edited by Kat1 (edited December 07, 1999).]

Jo, It is okay to feel sad just don't let it keep you down. It is all apart of the process. That is what so nice about this place we can come here and say we are sad, or hurting or angry and you know that everyone here will understand just how you feel. And that is soooo comforting. So alot of {{{hugs}}} are sent your way.
------------------
di

Thanks guys,
I needed all those thoughts and hugs.
I went and did my Christmas shopping yesterday - got fantastic gifts for not very much money !!!! What a change, and what a nice feeling to be able to give.
Jim - you constantly amaze me. You give so much to us here, how are you doing? A big big hug for you my friend.
Fairenough - thanks. Isn't it good to have someone else from Australia on this forum. Makes you realise that no matter where you are, or who you are, infidelity treats everyone exactly the same. No discrimination.!!! Sorry you're here - but at least we have support and wonderful new friends.
Lori - you just let me know girl. My door is open to you - anytime. Can you just imagine the time we would have.!!!!! Too much wine, too many laughs, too many late nights...
oh boy.......
The ph number for Qantas is...........
Pick up that phone, make that booking, see you soon..........
Joxxxxxx
To everyone else, thank you so much for responding to me. I was really down yesterday, and yet again, you guys picked me up.
When is this scoundrel going to come home, and lift the burden from you guys. He is the one who should be picking me up.
He is still with her, and moving forward. (or so he says)
I guess little old Joey just gets pushed further and further into the past....
Oh well, that's life.
I'm heading down the Gold Coast again to spend a couple of days on the beach, and be with my parents. Just going to walk that beach, and smell that fresh salty air.
Will jump back on when I get home.
Have a lovely next couple of days - and hugs to you all.
Jo
