Its sad but true that they have the same problems as we do, ie Dennis Quaid/Meg Ryan breaking up, Demi moore and Bruce Willis etc.
I wonder if they post here too?

LOL...
Last summer, I was at the airport waiting for someone to arrive. CNN was playing around the clock footage of the search for JFK jr. after his plane crash. A stewardess came up and asked me if anything new had been reported. She scoffed at all the coverage and said to me:
"It's amazing how much news this makes just because this is JFK Jr. If it was someone like you or me, no one would ever know about this.!"
I had to laugh to myself the way she implied this. I thought to myself: "She obviously does not realize who I am!"
My Father...is a King. He created the Universe!
:-)

NoMas--awesome! High Five! You are absolutely, positively right.
But I doubt that anyone famous bothers with this--most of the famous people are so rich, they can afford bolshoi bucks for expensive Hollywood therapists, gurus, fly off to the private island in the private jet to get reconnected, ect. However, all the money in the world is not going to save your marriage if you are being thoughtless and intolerant and refuse to budge an inch.
One famous couple that I think about now and then Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee. Not like I follow their careers a whole lot--I am not really into their work, either of them. But I think that it is so awesome that they are able to reconcile and to get help for their troubles--his troubles--and keep their family together, even with the national enquirer keeping tabs on everything. Oh, speaking of that, how about Whitney and Bobby Brown? She must REALLY love him. . .dunno.
[This message has been edited by Bernzini (edited August 04, 2000).]

Don't know, I don't read any people magazines or national enquirer or anything like that--anymore--but aint it kinda funny how Prince Charles hasn't made any moves to marry his lifetime love now that he can? Interesting. Or is it that he can't, being a prince and all.
I swear. Rich people.

I've wondered the same thing about Prince Charles and the charming Camilla! What is keeping them from getting married? Its not like he will not have any money if the Queen is unhappy. Will she fire him from being Prince?? Seems to me if this is the love of his life, he'd be willing to give it all up and drive the street sweeper if it meant them being together! Isn't that what love and fantasy are all about? Are you willing to give it all up Chuck???

Nothing is related to the posts from anybody.. about a couple of months ago I was watching a story of Ted Danson, and he was having an affair with Woopy Goldberg for a while(don't know how long) then he almost died from a car accident and I think he came to his senses. He broke of with her, and divorced his W(to make himself clean??). I don't know how much time later, he met an actress(forgot her name) and got married and they seem very happy.
So, it shows that relationship built from A doesn't work(that's good to know, huh?). But he also divorced from W...
Sigh....
Meg

Meg? Is that really you? Russell Crowe will just hurt you, babe. You need to get with me! [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Seriously, though, famous people may have it tougher in relationships. I was a minor local celebrity (radio host of a popular morning show), and people treat you differently when you're in the public eye.
People tend to fall in love with your public persona, then become disappointed when they find out you're just a human being. I can only imagine what it must be like for Hollywood stars. Their public persona is often quite different from what they are really like, so I suspect they have to be very selective in who they enter into a relationship with.
In my case, my wife began dating me because of my job, and she fell for the person I projected when I was in the spotlight. When I changed jobs, the spotlight faded, and she discovered the real me. That caused problems!
I'm guessing the reason celebrities hook up with other celebs is because no one else really understands their unique EN's.
Hi all! This is fun thread for a change.
I wanted to add that:

1) I'm depressed that Meg and Dennis haven't made it last.

2) I wish Brad and Jennifer the very best. Although I don't think they have a clue what it takes to last through all the typical trials and tribulations of a marriage. Add to that the fact that both are celebrities who will be traveling, have work enforced separations and be constantly propositioned by people around them!
3) Pamela Anderson is clueless. So is her "ex" although I think she's the more calculating one in that relationship. She's never gonna figure it out until she realizes all her problems start with who she picks to be romantically involved with.
4) Who else just got married? Oh, how about Vince Gill and Amy Grant? Both married when they met, carried on a torrid relationship, and broke up both families. Remember Amy Grant was a Christian singer -
5) Faith Hill and Tim McGraw...Great looking couple. Seem to have it all together, traveling with their kids, staying close to each other. Yet....caught up in the "soul mate" thing, very good looking, rich, surrounded by distractions and temptations daily. Still new relationship. Hope it goes the distance. Afraid it won't.
And yes, I have no shame (this is an anonymous board afterall!) I do occasionally read People, or check out web sites that offer news on the rich and famous.
Sorry [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] I am enormously interested in other people (even the neighbors) and how they live their lives. People are fascinating!

[This message has been edited by Lisanne (edited August 07, 2000).]

Lisanne, I can fill you in on a few things...
Vince and Amy were an item long before anyone in the public knew about it. We're talking years here. And the Christian music scene is a pretty strange place, full of plenty of un-Christian behavior.
Tim & Faith really are as happy as they look! Did you know that Faith was engaged to the head of her record company when she started up with Tim? There was also a rumor going around about Faith & Alan Jackson, but I'm not sure how true it was.
Anyway, I've talked to Tim & Faith a number of times, and as far as I can tell, what they've got is genuine.

Thanks, Azure, I needed that. First nice thing that I have heard all day. My beauty has suffered a little since this D-day business. I haven't gone running in about 2 months and I found my first grey hair last night--how bout that? I have taken to wearing big t-shirts and flip-flops, even to the mall.
Hey, I thought that Alan Jackson was happily married to his highschool sweetheart. So why the rumors about Faith?
