Once upon a time there was a woman who lost all her marbles...
That's how I feel.
I want to apologize to each and every one of you for selfishly dragging all of you down to the pits of despair with me when I should have been lifting you up.
I have not been "myself" lately. I see the reality of my situation (eminent divorce) and I want to fight it with everything in me, but can't any longer. I rally against it, and it comes out as rage.
I don't hate my H. I love him. However, I can't stay married to him anymore because we're killing each other - emotionally and physically. We're also killing our family, our children most of all. That doesn't mean that sometime, somewhere down the road, we can't find some kind of peace together. Maybe sooner than later - I hope.
Thank you everyone who took the time to respond to me and my H. I have never felt so totally supported in my entire life. You guys are all wonderful.

Hi Sheryl,
I for one want to THANK YOU for being here. Please hold on. I see your H posted tonight. That's good. Use us like we have you and your wisdom. Your H loves you. He said you didn't love him for being him.
That's workable.
It's always darkest before the dawn. It's not over until the fat lady sings. Rain brings the rainbow. Sheryl -- I'm glad you're here. No apologies are necessary. You have passed a crossroad in your journey and it was tough to make the decision as to which way to go.
You haven't lost your marbles, it is just taking some time to refocus in the fog. It's time to re-set your goals in life and to get there with all due speed.
You have been like a rock helping the rest of us while dealing with your own incredible obstacles. You need to find peace, first within yourself and later with your H and others. If you want, we are here to help you get there.
e-hugs and love to you today....

Good morning ES, Frank, Lori, Heartpain, and Jim,
Little tiny talk with my H this morning... both admitted love, but agreed that divorce is imminent. It wasn't a "big deal" talk, no tears, no anger...he's still sleeping on the floor, and we are just "being" for now.
I want to thank you for the love you've shown me. Also, pray for me as I'm to see the Christian counselor tonight. We all have an idea about what she'll say, don't we? But then again, sometimes they surprise you... but I doubt it. I'll let you know how it goes.
~Sheryl [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] (Little smile today)

Sheryl,
Your marbles are somewhere in a corner with my marbles! [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Gosh, all I can say is you are truly a neat and wonderful person. I will stop feeling sorry for myself long enought to pray for you.....in our own wierd way, we each have a purpose in life.
Frank, your post to Sheryl was so very nice -it is true that it ain't over until it's over. Even though it feels over - it still ain't over.....I will also try to remember that! Thanks! New_beginning: You lost your marbles too? Well that makes two of us. Don't worry too much, it's only temporary. It will give you a chance to recuperate a little at a time. I have used the "lost marble" excuse when I am out and about and I am talking to myself. It feels good to talk to myself, dance out in the street as I am running and listening to tunes. Yes, folks look at me funny, but I sure do feel a hell of alot better even though things are still the same.
I want to thank you for your prayers and thoughtfulness on my last post. I want to return the kindness by sending you a spiritual hug and prayer. You will find peace soon, so hang in there. And I will take care of my physical health.

HI NB,
I know that sense of hopelessness you feel , would you consider counseling with Steve H?...I broke down and did today and I feel so relieved....#1He's objective #2 There's hope even though I can hardly see it #3I'm letting someone else handle the problems and guide me....think about it seriously, I know you said your H doesn't want counseling, then do it yourself, you can't fix this yourself....you owe it to yourself and your family....Lu
New_Beginning,
Don’t apologize, all considered you are probably doing the best to eventually reconcile. You mentioned that you both talked and committed love. This is a big step. You are friends and this is important too.
I thank you for all your support and advise since I first arrived here almost one week ago. When I wrote my first post my pain was also physical and it had been since her confession. Sooner that I ever though possible you, Genie, WilliamJ, etc. opened my eyes to understand things that I wouldn’t imagine.
I don’t know if tomorrow I’ll feel the same than you (only God knows). But I can say that I’ll miss your posts and replies. You’ll see that in the long run everything will fall in place, and that with or without him you’ll find peace in your mind and in your heart.
ThisAlex
------------------
If someone hurts you, betrays you or breaks your heart, forgive them because they have helped you learn about Trust and Awareness.

Sobeit, Lu, Hummingbird, and This Alex,
Well... I'm off to my counseling session tonight, and I'm nervous. I don't actually know what to expect. I'm assuming she'll say that I should try to stick it out and work on the marriage, but who knows?
Thank you for your caring and comforting responses.
I'll check in again when I get home tonight.
~Sheryl
------------------
A liberated woman is one who feels confident in herself, and is happy in what she is doing. She is a person who has a sense of self... -Betty Ford, b.1939
