My h and I are doing great! I hope to encourage someone with this post. It has crossed my mind that some people would rather commiserate than read any good news.
I really think we are going to make it, and I'm not just looking to get on with our life. No, I'm still holding out for a passionate love with my h, even after his betrayal. The Harley's plan really works! The pain is still fresh, and I have had many triggers, but a new love is growing alongside it. I am falling in love again, and I see my darling h loving me again. I know we belong together and not just for the kids. We are good for each other, we help each other grow as Christians since we complement each other's strengths and weaknesses in so many ways. I am not justifying what he did, but even that has helped me grow in a very important area. I have surprised myself at how well I have handled the anger in not lashing out at him. Not even the night he first told me. Am I a saint? On the contrary, I have always had a problem with anger. But I believed all the way down into my bones that punishing my h would not get me where I wanted to go - to a great marriage with my h. It was a hard pill to swallow, but I've been forced to learn such a valuable lesson. What a difficult choice to face - embrace the one who hurt you, or be alone with two little ones. I have risen above my feelings and embraced him, and now the good feelings are coming.
He too has chosen to respond by meeting my needs. At first, it was more mechanical and I felt shut out. But he chose to let go of the feelings for the OW (that wasn't easy either) and then, finally, to pursue a great relationship with me. He told me I am the best thing that has ever happened to him, and he can't believe how dumb he was. I hope this encourages some of you out there who are trying to recover. I feel for those in plan B.
We are still searching for a solution so he doesn't have to travel so much. I had a post where I specifically asked for any creative solutions anyone had tried, but got no specifics. I am still wondering if anyone has tried going with their spouse on a REGULAR basis, with or without the kids.

I was hoping some good news would encourage some out there.
2sad - it has been a really intense 6 weeks since it was revealed and all contact was severed. There have been a few attempts on her part, but he has stayed the course.
