The one subject I never seem to hear about is since the burned spouse is doing all the work and reading all the material and my H is in love with his OW. He thinks so. Is he ready to read the material Dr.H. prescribes on affairs? Is he ready to find out that the love of his life is just an obsession, a fantasy? He has an addictive personality anyway, this separation is going to be brutal for him. If he can do it at all.
I hesitate to show it to him at the moment because he has not chosen his route yet, her or the family. Our counseling has only just started also, he has a long way to go even to be honest to me and to himself. Will this information hinder his decision to choose his family or help? I am looking for the truth and support.
burnedspouse:
I would suggest that you might want to give the MB counseling center a call (888-639-1639) and ask this question. My bet would be that until he is willing to completely end the affair, that material will probably do no good.
You can always offer it to him---but don't use any lovebusters in an attempt to have him read it.
