Well, went to church this morning and guess what the pastor's message was....marriage. It's a new series he's started on the family. He talked about leaving father and mother and cleaving to the spouse. My h never left his father and mother-admitted he was more loyal to them than me-that's why the woman talked to me like I was a dog and got away with it. Well, she died and within months, he had this affair. Then pastor talked about two becoming one. How a H and W are to be together as if super glue holds pieces of lumber together. If they are pulled apart, the lumber shatters because the glue holds so tightly. He says that's what happens in divorce-the people don't come apart whole...everyone's life is shattered. He talked about sex and how that bonds the two together as one. We haven't had a sex life in years-H's decision. I made it through the sermon without crying where people could notice. Someone in my Sunday school class told me they saw an ambulance picking my husband up and what was wrong. (He was drunk and they pulled him off the railroad tracks with train coming.) I just said "He has problems." They know we have problems but not details-just enough information for them to pray for us. Anyway, Sunday school lesson was about Romans 8. About God seeing us through trials. About Jesus and the Holy Spirit intervening for us. It was just a tough morning. H and I are talking this afternoon and daughter is beyond mad.

Some days are much tougher than others. It is hard to know that the trials and tribulations that are in our lives are things that God is using to refine us. It is even harder to know that He allows us to bring them into our lives.
When the days are the darkest, the only thing we can do is cry out and rely upon the One who created us. I pray that you find the peace and strength that you need to continue on your journey. Your faith will be tested, but if you hold strong you will come out a much stronger person.
God bless you and yours...
