I’ve recently had an argument with my W related to her A, which she regarded as a LB. Why? Because she didn’t want to talk or hear about it. She wanted to leave the whole thing behind us and move on with life, even though she has not made up her mind about re-committing to our marriage yet. She wants to take one day at a time. She wants to heal herself first before she can work on other. I see this as a positive thing toward our future, but it seems to go so slooooooooowly. And because of this, I think I’m now back to square one. She told me not to bring this subject again and leave it alone. She asked me why I couldn’t drop this subject and trust her on this. She said when she’s working on cutting the A off, she really meant it, but I have to be patient and leave it alone. When I asked her why she didn’t want to cut it off right away. She said that she’s afraid the OM might do something to hurt us (The OM might also end up losing his wife, because his wife was asking for a divorce). My W said that she didn’t really know who he is or what he is capable of doing. All she wanted is to make it as painless as possible for him when she cut it off (I feel like she tried to protect his feeling here.)
Well, I’m feeling good about myself now. Of course, I still have my up and down (On and Off). But overall, I’m much better than before. But the question is: Is it a normal thing to re-plan A? When will this On and Off cycle end? Until the cows come home? Or until my love is dead? Anyone? Any idea?
Please see my post in the Recovery section under the post "He STILL doesn't want to talk about it". I got some good responses on the same topic.
Good luck - its hard, I know.
