New to this but had to write!!!
Narcisistic Personality Disorder Symtoms... and also Sociopath...
Maybe some of you can relate to this I sure did!!!!!!!!!! (just giving highlights)
Grandiose sense of self-importance
Preoccupied with fantasis of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love
Believes he or she is special & should associate with other special or high-status people
Requires excessive admiration
Has a sense of entitlement
TAKES ADVANTAGE OF OTHERS TO ACHIEVE HIS OR HER OWN ENDS
Lacks empathy
Often envious of others or believes that others are envious of him or her
Shows arrogant, haughty behaviors or attitudes.
Well found out my H of 1 1/2 yrs. is having an affair. Moved out a couple of days ago. After reading this site all day found out a classic case, he works with the OW. "She makes him feel good" He says its been going on for 2 weeks, and he is "in love". I am still in shock. He was married for 20 years prior to me, tonight he said that this happened at least 5 timesin his previous marriage. That was a shock!! We have known each other since 96, guess what I worked with him!! He was separted from his wife at the time and getting a divorce (thought I was safe). Boy, did we hit it off. We were inseperable!! People envied our relationship! It was amazing!!! That is where the Sociopath comes in!! It says...
Those that are so devoid of love and emotions that they act out an admirable behavior (bubbly, carefree, outgoing, seemingly fun to be with, IRRESISTABLE CHARM) to gain acceptance. They suck the emotions (or money etc) from their victim until that victim is "Served Out"(left empty, used and exhausted. When the victim cannot maintain the Sociopath's required level of attention and/or needs the sociopath will turn on their provider and humiliate, abuse, reject, attack, or hurt the victim until the relationship is completely sabotaged.
Can anyone relate??? What a high intensity relationship!! Hope this can help someone cuz its sure helped me. The next victim is 29 with 2 small children. I also have 2 children from a previous marriage, thats the hard part first him coming in our lives and then whosh hes gone! I feel lucky though cuz tonight he said I was his best friend, and that he loved me. (forgive my sarcasm). But amazingly enough I still care about him.... I told him tonight that I will move out of the house (which was mine before we got together), right now I feel I cannot handle the responsibility of a home, I want to move me and my kids into a condo, I am exhausted. I've done this before and can do it again. What amazes me is that I would want him back, I want to "work" this through. I told him you cannot keep running when there is a problem. Well I'm going on my 7th night of basically no sleep, havent eaten anything except for maybe 3 apples this week, how much longer can this last???? Feedback Please!!
