I am in a similar situation but my wife and I are thus far both committed to working it out.
So far, I have resisted the temptation to punsih her, but I have let her know that I LOVE HER AND WANT TO MAKE THIS WORK - BUT I DON'T need her. She believes this and I believe there is no loss of respect while we try to work it out. I don't want to give advice about marriage as I am not an expert - but I think the website is correct. Be strong but don't be angry - it is a very fine line.
