I called her a couple days ago to ask if I could take her out on her birthday(Nov. 8th, her 40th). I asked if I could take her out for dinner at Olive Garden. She seemed happy I asked her, then said she would see what the kids said. I said we could all go, but I would rather just her and I go. I told her I was nervous calling her, just like when we first met. she laughed and said I didn't need to be nervous. She said she would think about it, and get back to me.
She talked to me later and said on the 8th wouldn't work but maybe the weekend would be better. I feel lucky to get that but feel left out if someone else gets to be with her on the 8th.
She still makes my head spin.
I still need to get her birthday present to her.
Also if she is going out with OM on her birthday would it be bad for me to send her roses at work? I want to but don't want to embarress her. Part of me thinks it would be nice to see what see does with 40 roses.

I don't know your whole situation, but I like the 40 roses idea. You be the judge based on where you are in your relationship. I sent roses to my wife at work, and it was good. As long as it isn't going to be some sort of weird LB. But they love flowers, and 40 is a novel idea.
If you do, let us know what happens.
