I wouldn't know, but I hear that Radio Shack has a phone activated tape recorder and a phone recording control that plugs into a phone line. Around $50 total. Not that I know anything about this, of course...Very easy to install (or so I heard). Just be sure you're ready to handle what you hear; most people aren't.
AGG

"Amen Brother" Agoodguy is right.
Survivin, If your planning on using what you hear against her don't bother. You'll just eat yourself up and drive her further away. Remember she has discussed moving out. Do you really want to add another push twards that door? I know it's hard not to dig into things that will make us feel even more betrayed. I can't explain that, but I know it's outcome can be devistating. Keep learning, stick to plan A for a while. Post here about how your feeling, trust me these people can offer some sound advice.
Take the $50 bucks add another $45 and make an appointment to talk to one of the Harleys, your money will be better spent.
oswald
Whoa!
Went with the recorder, and heard them gushing "I love you" and "You looked good OUT of that pink dress". Ouch!!
I confronted my WS with the evidence. She had said it was just a friendship. She disappeared for a 2 hour drive, speaking with the OM on the cell phone.
Then, the OM calls me and apologizes! Said they went too far from a friendship and he was stepping back a few notches. Later, WS says something similar.
Too soon to tell, but perhaps a positive development !!

Oswald's advice is still VERY sound. I'd join in with him in recommending a session with the Harley's. This is *NOT* a friendship you're dealing with here. Your wife is getting important emotional needs met outside your marriage, and the only long term hope you have is to figure out what, why, and how, and get back in the action yourself.
Sorry for being so blunt, but it's easy to get preoccupied with stuff that occupies time, but won't really help you much in the long run. Good luck, best wishes. Study up on the stuff on this site, and try a counseling session- I doubt you'll regret it.
Regards,
Jon
