This has been bugging me for sometime. My H had a v in 1992 or 1993. I never got pregnant again, he never had the sperm count done after v. I gave it no thought until he confessed... The one girl got pregnant by her h and so did the next by her boyfriend. Isn't it odd, they both became pregnant while being with him... What are the odds. It's possible I became infertile and would have never known. Anyway if there is a chance should I do anything about it??

Hey, Crushed. I don't know the odds, but there's only one way to find out.
I do have a friend who amazingly conceived when her first had graduated from HS, 2nd was a senior. H had a vasectomy years before.
Caused a lot of problems with them. He was so upset that he insisted on paternity test. Of course it was his. He tested again. Small leak - all it took.
Lori

Well, the chances of getting your W pregnant, as I understood them when I had a positive pregnancy test 18 mo. after the chopping (is that a visual or what?) on my H, are good during the first 2 yrs. and less after that, until nil.
I'm sure a nurse or Medic on the board will jump in with actual stats, but that's what I was told!!
and BOY, was it a shock to get that positive pregnancy test!!

This is a concern of mine as well. Arik had his V in Jan. of 98 and never went in to get a count done. He says she called and told him that she got her period but, I am still worried. I know some people that got thier period for the first 2 months of pregnancy.
That would certainly add to the dilema.
------------------
Love and Prayers
Nicole

[This message has been edited by Patient Love (edited December 10, 1999).]

Hi,
One of the labs I worked in we did the postvas semem analysis. I can't give U numbers, but it was not that uncommon to look under the scope and still find the little "swimmers" still there having a good old time. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
If he never had the SA done to check, it's very posssible to still get someone pregnant.
Jason
