I married a man 7 years ago that seemed to be mister right. then the real person began to show. he lied to me, cheated on me, and stole money from me. We have 2 young children. He never provided for me or the family, he quit jobs and would not tell me - he would take money from all my accounts and hide the bank statements. he had 10 jobs in 7 years..but had to have the best of everything..so i worked, and worked, and did everything else. then he finally gets a job, has an affair w/ a married women who is rich and tells me he wants out. no remorse, no guilt, nothing. i then found out he took all of our kids money from their savings account and borrowed over $20,000 from my family and lied about what it was needed for. i'm seeing a therapist who tells me to be very careful of this man..is there anyone out there who was married to a sociopath? i just wish he would find his next victim and leave me and the kids alone; i know the kids would be better off w/o him.

He moved out and has moved on - except he still comes around to see the kids. When his married girlfriend can not manage to get out from her husband, he wants to see the kids, otherwise he could care less. He puts his own needs first, always has and always will. Everything I have read about sociopaths says that if you have been a victim; once the sociopath has been exposed and he can not manipulate you anymore he will move on. But, they caution to be careful. My therapist feels that he will get bored of the kids and stop coming around too. I don't trust him. I wish there was someone out there that can tell me what to expect now. <P>
