My husband has recently come clean about an affair (6months). We have been married for 17 years, I love him soooo much, he says that he loves me, made a choice, told her, she is angry and now "hates him" Now the problem is, I don't feel I can believe what he tells me, he seems emotionally disconnected and I need to talk about this. Should I take a step back and wait for him to be ready? (afraid that leaves him open to go back to her who works at his place of work) or push the discussion that I need to have?

Here is a good place to start. It will answer many of your questions. <p>WAT's Quick Start Guidelines for Betrayed Spouses

Hi,<p>The trust factor is gone. This is often hardest piece to rebuild in a M. But it can be done. It will require work on both sides. <p>Here is what helped me, it is a thread called the 5 stages of grieving. Something to help the betrayed spouse learn what they might feel during their grieving/recovery process. <p> http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/Forum34/HTML/002494.html <p>I hope it helps. Keep reading here. The subject of rebuilding trust is a periodic topic.<p>Take Care,
L.
