My wife and I had a talk and she has been so unhappy. Our home isn't a santuary for her, its a big stress bomb.
We talked about separating, but I want to stay close to the kids (small town that we comute from/to) which means I can tuck them in etc. Funds, as well will not be changed for the first bit.
Does this work? We still are good friends but I know the OM is a pain in my side. My W is a really intelligent person as well (although I realize its an addiction) I wonder if their relationship will bust after a bit. If I show how nice i can be etc around the kids and being a friend...can this work for me? If nothing else my 3 year old will still have a decent birthday on Newyears I hope.
Thoughts..please
JJ

If you are talking about separating, why are you saying, "but I want to stay close to the kids"? Aren't you going to keep them?
I wonder if their relationship will bust after a bit.
Bet on it. But it doesn't necessarily mean the marriage can get back on track. But you have a much better chance of it if you maintain a very good attitude towards your wife.
------------------
Prayers & God Bless!
Chris
For relationship info check out Marriage & Relationship Resources

*******If you are talking about separating, why are you saying, "but I want to stay close to the kids"? Aren't you going to keep them?***
Thats one thing I keep getting messed up on, should I be the one to fight for the kids or should she?
We had problems before the OM (she insists he is a close friend but I think there is more than that) but I don't know what to do... How do I approach the subject without LB?
What sounded like we were going to do is give me as much access to the kids as they and I need. I can tuch them into sleep or call them etc. Thats if I rent close by. I know this sounds bad but it seems like a way not to ....hmm reading this is sounds bad....screw up the kids. Or at least to let them know Daddy loves them.
What should i push for in this case?
J

Right now I wouldn't broach the subject of the om. Just be the best husband & friend to her that you can.
Why do you have to be the one to leave the house & the kids? If she wants a separation, let her leave. You don't have to be mean about it. Do you want a separation? If not, tell her.
------------------
Prayers & God Bless!
Chris
For relationship info check out Marriage & Relationship Resources

despair is becoming an everyday feeling now.
My wife wants to separate. In her eyes she doesn't believe in marriage at all now. She does not want to try and she says she is beyond that point where she even wants to try.
I am losing hope, she just seems so relieved about the whole separation thing. My purpose for the separation is hope of maybe working it out. Her idea it seems is to be able to do what she wants, to explore the OM and start again...NO Marriage
bleep bleep bleep
I guess he was worried, he even went out and got a restraining order against me. I didn't really see me going to hurt him.. this whole thing is just weird.
Hurtin...maybe I should just go
