W had EA and things are not so hot right now. (Check the profile) Little headway, paricularly in any intimacy related areas. So, here's the question:
Q: Any suggestions for a New Years Eve get together that can be seen as enjoyable, non-threatening, and positive? Any ideas where we can just be who we are without feeling the burden of rebuilding a marriage?
I just want to have fun, and have my W and kids have a good time. After all, Y2K only comes around oh so often. I hate to have it be memorable in a negative way.
--keystone

Keystone,
I would suggest that you try and do some stuff with other couples or friends. As you know you and I are in about the sameplace. We are going to another couples house that are good friends of us both. No kids so it should be a big party. I know both of us are looking forward to it. Friends act as a great buffer between all the BS that is going on with us.
Hope all is well with you.

keystone,
Is there going to be a fireworks show anywhere you guys might be able to go to??? That would be nice - in a public place and outside so you wouldn't feel as much pressure.
If not, maybe several couples could go out to dinner and then home before the midnight thing and you guys wouldn't feel the pressure of the "big kiss" and other hoopla.....?
Roll Me Away
------------------
"Life is made up, not of great sacrifices or duties, but of little things in which smiles and kindnesses and small obligations, given habitually, are what win and preserve the heart and secure comfort."
Sir Humphry Davy
