Alex--
Here's a reply. Some people here may be stepping back to see if anyone with actual experience in the same area posts.
My opinion in the scheme of things, and without actual experience, OP being same-sex, I would think you need to approach reconciliation in the same way as opposite sex infidelity. Read as much as you can on this site, post to vent and share problems.
We ARE here for you. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
------------------
Laura
"I cannot care a little for you. I'm sorry, Alex. Like, Laura, I just didn't feel that I was very well versed on this topic. I have no doubt that you are suffering just as much, if not more than the rest of us. We're always here to support you. Not sure I can give you any advise that can be useful to you, though.

Sorry you feel ignored.
I for one, feel uncomfortable giving an opinion on a situation that I have no experience with.
Hey, it's not like you are in a restaurant and being ignored by your waitress. The people who post here are individuals with limited time and resourses, not professionals that respond on demand.
Don't take it so personally. We are all in pain and we are trying our best in a bad situation.

------------------
Faith, Hope, Love Remain,
but the greatest of these is Love.
1 Corinthians 13:13

Alex,
I almost wrote something the same yesterday when I wasn't getting any response either. I almost got mad. It sometimes seems there are alot of people who have been here a while and have more in common with eachothers lives than mine. I am a newbee and feel ignored at times too.
I go here also to just talk to people, and to get some of my feelings out. Its a good thing but sometimes I still feel alone when no one responds.
My situation is an unknown person wrote me a letter stating that my H was having an affair in his office. My H denies it. So I really don't know if it is true.
There are still feelings of doubt, distrust, anger, hate, and I am scared. Someone was following me when I recieved the letter 3 weeks ago. I don't know who wrote it or why if it is not true, would someone do this to our family.
Hang in there. I will look for your posts and reply the best I can. I am often up late too. Haven't been able to sleep much.
Good luck
We are here
We care
We understand the best we can
Christine

Hey ThisAlex,
I don't think that it matters much that your wife turned to OW as apposed to OM. Infidelity is the same no matter how you look at it and it needs to be treated in the same fashion.
I don't post a lot and find that a lot of my comments go unanswered heavily. I usually reply to others, but even then find that sometimes I do not have the healing words. Keep posting, the more we see your name, the more familiar your situation becomes to us and the easier it is for us to help you.

Wafflestoo (great name!), Christine (Camjon), hanora, Faith Hope Love, Sidney, Covenant, Laura (Lucks) & specially Bill. And everyone else,
I am sorry, I guess I was being a selfish brat- we all have problems to vent & requests to make & we cannot answer everyone... I understand. I'm the same way after all, don't reply if I feel I can't help.
Thank you all.
Alex
------------------
Live and learn

Hi ThisAlex,
I think it's just that some people don't know what to say, so it's easier to say nothing. I posted something similiar when I began because I so wanted to be a "part" of the group and when I wouldn't get replies it hurt... but hey, I was one big ball of hurt anyway, ya know?
We love you, and respect your desire to repair your marriage. Sometimes it's just hard to say it the right way... and sometimes we just say a silent prayer for peace and move on without replying...
Okay??
~Sheryl
------------------
Life is what happens to you while you are busy making other plans.
~John Lennon

It's also that you guys are the only people that I can talk to... I've have a couple of conversations with friends who divorced because their spouses cheated… but I am still covering up for her not saying that is not OM but OW- and then having to cover up with my child, too when she's not hope (shh!!! don't make noise to mommy, etc.). Then I phoned this old friend in my hometown (we treat each other as brothers & his mom always introduces me as "his oldest son")- but then again he's bein cheating on his wife for years now...
Is this end of the century the end of the world (each of our individual worlds that is???). I hope not.
As always, thanx.
Alex
------------------
Live and learn
