I would like to know, how many out there know of situations in which the WS and the OP actually get divorces and end up together happily ever after?

I cheated on my wife back in '94 with a younger woman when I was stationed in Germany in the US Army. My wife was in the States waiting for her Orders to come over with our kids. Our marriage had not been good for 9 years and we had drifted apart. (Still no excuse for what I did). I met this cute lady who also had problems in her marriage. So we began 'just talking' then good friends, then some mutual petting, etc. (Although I never had sex with her, I might as well have, the tremendous damage it caused later on.) So, my wife finds out, we end our Affair, and then my wife has an Affair on me the following year. My wife and I divorce the year after that. I look this girl up - 4 years after our Affair ended - to the month, to be exact! We hit it off again over the phone - she's been divorced also and is not seeing anyone. So, we have it all... or did we? Neither of us married, so I fly down to see her and we hit it off hot and heavy right off. You name it, we did it. Paradise? No. It was still a FANTASY based on memories from back in '94. Logically, our relationship should have worked - but it didn't. Why? Because it was never meant to be in the first place. The Lord will NOT honour any relationships based on ADULTERY - they're cursed from the start. So, IMHO, that is my story and I would advise anyone pursuing someone like this to RUN THE OTHER WAY!! Harold Sadder but wiser...

Only 5% ends up in M ... don't know how many % has fullfiling M. As BS this is a common question since we have anger & ego issue w/ WS's A. I look at my WW's A ... she uses MB's principal to get OM (4 gifts of love) !. I know she will do anything to make OM to marry her ... for the wrong reason, her own ego issues. She tried to convinced everyone that I am a very bad H (ha .. ha ...) ... she will try to use this M to show to people that she is serious and to justify what she did. Having saying this, actually she might have fullfiling M if she has A w/ half decent man !. This OM still has EA w/ his exW and lied to WW and looking at his profile ... I sit back and let the revenge comes from having OM !. There are so many lies that OM told WW and OM didn't come clean to WW after "clean slate" !. Ask me again sometime next year, I will confirm it for you.
To answer your own situation ... it depends !. If both giving 4 gifts of love ... anyone could have a fullfilling R. However how could you do RH with many lies ?.

I had to answer yes to both your questions. I think it also may depend on other factors, such as gender, whether there are kids etc. People I know of:
1- a MM, in a seemingly perfect marriage, one adopted kid, knocks up OW, leaves W, now married to OW. Happy ending? 2- a Wife, has affair, leaves H, still with OP, but not married 3- a wife, on 3rd affair, divorcing her H. Her H is controlling and abusive and adamantly refuses MC with her. Will it work with OP? Time will tell. But in this case, the W is not divorcing the H FOR the OP. 4- MM, leaves wife and 2 kids for OW, moves thousands of miles away- now he's looking for an apartment of his own. Hmm.. after moving so far to be with his soulmate? 5- MM, leaves wife and 3 kids, moves in with OW for several months, comes back to wife, has another kid with W. 6- MW divorces H, has 3 kids, to be with MM, who divorces W with 2 kids. They live separately- she with her 3 kids, him alone. The MM's kids never accept OW. After 4 years, the FMM starts cheating on the OW. The relationship breaks up. 7- MM cheats with OW. OW ends up marrying someone else. The wife divorces the man. He ends up alone. 8- A wife cheats briefly, ends up divorcing the H. Not so much for the OM, but because the H is an alcoholic. The H still is an alcoholic, 5 years later. She continues a long distance relationship with the OM.
this is by no means a statistical sample.
