Thank you everyone for posting such good information, and bad stories here. thank you espescially Bryanp for responding to my posts, so I could feel someone was listenting.

The past week has been very emotional and I have a strange feeling that the news I got last Friday about the affair, could have been one of the top five best things to happen in our relationship. It was hard to take, but we are communicating better now, going to seek marriage counseling, and have divulged information that we refused to admit to eachother and even ourselves.

I'm sure there will still be some hard days to come, but at least I do again have hope. I have actually been able to eat the last couple of days. I am actually happier than I have been in a very long time.

I will try to be as good of a listener, and reply to others in the future, but I plan to be a bit selfish and save my venting for here at home for the next couple of weeks.

Thanks again

This is great news. It really sounds like you are on the right path to recovery. I am pleased that I could be of some little help. My philosophy is based on a radical honesty and a tough love approach which puts me in a minority on this board. I wish you continued success and happiness

Good for you !

Yes these "bumps" in life do often have positive effects in the long run. I still believe in God - and I feel like God works things out his own way and in his own time.

It can be hard to see when we're in the middle of it sometimes. But often in hindsight we can see that things do resolve.

Good Luck
