Well, had both kids to counselors this week and they are doing fine. My son is very bright and has identified a number of people he can talk to if he can't talk to me. HE said he felt bad about talking about om to me. We stressed that he could if he felt the need to. HE understood this. He said he still doesn't like om and thinks he is the reason him mother and father aren't together.
He said he really didn't think he wanted to go to Florida with his mom and om. I overheard him tell her that tonite.
My daughter saw her counselor tonite for the first time in 2 months. I laid out what was going on and then left the room. I really didn't get to discuss how things went as the counselor came out with daughter and there were other people in the room. Daughter said she had some questions answered but that she too wasn't sure she wanted to go to Fl and didn't if her brother wasn't going.
I expected my stbx to call and ask why they don't want to go now, but she hasn't so far.
She and om are going out of town tommorrow so she probably doesn't want to ruin that. She won't give anybody a number where they'll be in case of an emergency, but said she check in with us tommorrow and be back Thurs evening. I guess I should be glad she trusts me!!
No word if she plans on seeing them after she gets back.
------------------
"You can't always get what you want! That's wonderful about your kids...
And, geez... we're both quoting 60's artists, although yes, I know the Stones are still around and going semi-strong (Keith looks awful, sorry)... so I guess we're dating ourselves here... you must be in your late 30's, early 40's???
------------------
Life is what happens to you while you are busy making other plans.
~John Lennon
