been a while since i have been here.Thouhgt i would fill those of you in that were kind enough to listen..... Well move on day has come, i know that he is not coming back and truthfully i don't blame him, I love him very much and always will but now after these past few weeks i have looked back and i think it is all for the best.I have started a new job and met new people and have come to realize that our marriage fell appart long before this affair and that at that time marriage counciling should have been a priority....not after. so in ending...there are some days i stuggle with all of this,,,yet i can walk away knowing that i exhausted all avenues to try and repair the damage but now it is time to move on and not look back. I won't forget these last ten years with him I'm sure he won't either,,now i have the rest of my life to look forward to with my kids and hopefully with someone who loves me just the way i am without trying to make any changes.I am who i am and i shouldn't have to change for anyone.Sure i have made mistakes and for those i forever will be sorry for but i can't change the past...i am a firm believer in "everything happens for a reason"...sure i could have and should have controlled the affair but would we have still been together right now if it hadn't happened?...probably....but would i have wanted to continue living being second in my husbands life? no.....i deserve better than that and now i just may have found that. take care all and thanks for listening...Merry Christmas!!!! bella

Bella --
I wish you peace and fulfillment and brighter days filled with sunshine and laughter and joy.
I hear resolution from you and that's a valuable thing. I'm sorry that your pain has been a component of this ordeal, but it has perhaps been necessary. We don't grow as much during the "happy" times; we question and learn and move the most during the times of unhappiness.
My very, very best to you. You'll make it...

Dear Bella, your thoughts & sentiments echo mine. I too have reached the same stage you're at, and the feelings are so liberating. I'm no longer consumed by my WH and his A - I now have a life.
The best part is, we are moving on knowing that we've done everything possible to repair the M. There are no regrets, no wondering if there was anything left undone or unsaid. I think that I am most grateful to MB and all the wonderful people here for that insight. If it hadn't been for them, I'd have given up much earlier and probably been plagued with doubts and what-ifs for many years to come.
Peace be with you during the holiday season. [ December 10, 2002, 03:40 PM: Message edited by: SH94 ]
