Hello every one,

To give you some history.... I am a 33 year old male my wife is an 29 year old woman. We have been living together for 6 years and married for 4....My wife is bisexsual I am not. We met at a night club I used to own. she is an exotic dancer.

Now I have never had a problem with the dancing and with her bringing women home on ocation....THIS IS NOT THE PROBLEM I am just trying to give some history.

a year and a half ago my wife wanted to get out of dancing so she came to work with me at my nightclub.....Things started to to go bad right away...the communication between us dissapeared... and she forgot one day a certified letter from the state about back taxes from the clubs preveous owners...this led to my liquor licence being revoked and the susaquent loss of my lively hood..... I became this Visous ******* to my wife and for the last year I have been Verbaly abusive to her....and I mean every waking moment I treated her like dirt... I was so hurt I had an afair with a woman....that made it as far as kissing, and heavy petting and grinding. she was a close friend of the family.. I wanted my wife to love me not hurt me and I felt hurt by her betrayl...

Now fast forward to 5 weeks ago....my wife met some one who treated her nice and she decided that I did not love her and that I would never forgive her for her mistakes.... so she also had a minor affair that made it to oral sex.

she wanted more and decided that she was going to do something for herself and end our marrage.... she truly felt I would not car and be happy with the divorce.

I could not accept resposibility for my part in our losses and I punished her relentlessly.

afted hearing her tell me she had had enough of my pain....and wanted a divorce...I looked at her and layed down my sword and in an instant I let go of my anger... we have finally connected after a year of hell.....

we have had an amaizing 3 weeks and she has decided that based on my acctions that she wants to be with me for the rest of her life like I want to be with her for the rest of my life....but here is the KICKER...

she had already made plans to go out of town over night with this guy to a football game tomorow...

she told me that a large part of her is still very hurt over how I verbally abused her and that she needs to do this one thing "for her self" and have a clean cut romanticly from this guy...she told me that she was willing to trade a year of hell for one football game...she also told me that there would be no sex and he under stood that friends was all there would ever be...

the woman I strayed with is exactly the same. she was a close friend of mine befor we kissed and is still a close friend now there is just no sexual attraction on my part...

My question is this is her actions about needing one day for "her self " make any sence?

and now that I am half way throught the first day of her being gone how can I stop the cycle of hate that is now swinging back the other way?

I feel that I am being damaged again and I want to lash out at her for doing this.....

does "getting it out of her system" something that makes good logical sence?

and finally what should we do about seeking profetional help with my anger management problem and counceling for both of us?

Hi and welcome,

Well, how to respond. What you are feeling is normal. When you feel the need to abuse because of the anger, come here and vent your feelings. Venting to her will not repair you M, but will destroy it even more.

Have you read the links here with regards to his needs and her needs. I suggest when she returns you fill out the questionaire. If she is not willing, fill out hers how you think she would respond.

Counseling, first, if you have insurance, check with your carrier, you may have to stay within the network for them to cover it. Same with anger management.

I hear Dr. Harley is very good. I have not done a phone consult. Can't afford the fees.

I don't know how he will respond to the bisexual issue. Most people, would have a hard time accepting this. You do not see this as a betrayal. For some, this is also a religous violation, and I dont' know how he will take it. If you want to give it a try, before spending your hard earned money, you can ask the person who sets up the appts, how he will feel about this issue.

Who ever you both use for MC, will have to be accepting of this issue, if both of you are.

Feelings of betrayal are felt by both of you. I think I hear you that the OM and the OW are only just friends to each of you, but how will your W feel about you maintaining contact as "just" friends with OW? My guess is she will not be very accepting of it. Are you willing to terminate contact with this person to save your M. It may be necessary. Will your W be willing to terminate all contact with OM if necessary to save you M. You both will need to have some radical honesty with each other on how you feel about contact with these two individuals. My thoughts are if you both are serious about your M, you both will do what is necessary to save the M, which includes terminating some friendships.

Keep you anger under control with her. A year of daily verbal abuse is alot for anyone to bear. One more may be all she can take to send her running.

Take care.

I have already decided to terminate my relationship permanently with the other woman in my life....I did months ago but I am willing to cut the friend ship off completely.....

Our life style with other women in our bed has always been heathy...but we always new that it was just sex with these other women....when Nikki and I looked at each other it was love....

I think that the most damage I did was to our friendship.....

I feel like the alcoholic who finally killed a family in a miny van befor I realized I had a problem.

I took a large wall in our bed room 30 feet by forty feet and painted a love letter to her on it its 25 feet wide an 20 feet tall....

but do these things about revenge normal.... how can I stop the cycle when I get angery?

I don't know how you can stop the cycle, except to say, find an anger management counselor, support group.

Vent here or in a journal, but not to your wife. It does help.

I agree with Sue with hope's advise about you seeking anger management because it not only would be beneficial for your W but it will be a powerful symbol of committment for her to see that you mean business as far as being a better H and friend to her.

As far as 'letting' her go to this game with this guy to make a 'clean cut' is concerned, I say you don't make a stink about it because you can not control her actions anyway, and because if you do you will come off as an extremely controlling, insecure and potentially abusive man in her eyes. Be confident and she may respond the way you want her to.

My opinion may be unwelcome here-but here goes.
You love your wife . She loves you.
Give up anyone romantically or in the bedroom besides the two of you.

Otherwise-what is marriage anyways??????????
It's between one man and one woman-period! The rest just does not work. It dirties everything fine and lovely.

You and your wife-forsaking all others. Then you can get somewhere. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" />
