After many months of "trying" on my part and enduring the frustration of nothing ever going right or saying the right things, I plainly put it to H that we mustn't speak again. I told him that more than anything, I want him to keep contact with the children, but that our contact was to be "non-existent" until he was ready to devote himself to me and our relationship. He said that he doesn't mind "my calling him"; however, I told him, "we are not a couple and that we must begin going our separate ways." He politely said "Have a goodnight." I cried and cried and felt that I made the biggest mistake. Although I am not 100% sure, I believe he has moved in with the OW last night. It makes me cringe, it breaks my heart and it makes me soooo angry. Will he ever see that his little fantasyland is just that...not for real? Will he ever truly appreciate all that I have done (and he has always admitted this in the past)? Will he ever return. IN all honesty, I do want him to return, however, it will be to a different woman. I'm starting counseling this evening and already feel as though I took the initial step toward my recovery. Will the separation pain ever subside? My neighbor would like me to meet a friend of hers who is experiencing the betrayal and deception heaped upon by his wife. Although I'm interested, as a lonely woman, I'm a catholic who believes she is breaking her vows. How can I stop the pain. I'm always one at offering my advice, but I cannot help myself.
