So Thursday, my husband finally admitted to me that he wants a divorce. He doesn't want to go to marriage counceling, he doesn't want to try at all. He still says he loves me and cares about me, but it's "not there anymore".
So thanks for all the support and advice, now time for me to get a lawyer.

At least I'm still young and on anti-depressants.

Harmonyj...so sorry for your H's POV. Yes, it's time to see a lawyer to discover what your laws are in your state, what rights you have, what options are available...BUT...if you don't feel ready to get a divorce, do NOT allow your H to push you into something you don't want.

Many a marriage is saved after someone says they want a divorce. Saying the words, doesn't necessarily mean that they are truly wanting a divorce. It can be an attempt to get you to stop demanding answers. It could be what he thinks he wants...but once the reality of it slaps him upside the head...he discovers it's not. It could be, it could be....!

Whatever happens...may you find peace and happiness in the future, whatever path you follow.
