I am new here so sorry if I don't know all the abrv. I have been living with my BF for about 6 mo. now, I always see him posting on this site so I thought since he believe so much in it, maybe I should try a post.

My problem:
My BF has had no contact with his ex wife for a few months, they are never getting back together or anything like that. But he promised me that he wasn't speeking with her or seeing her ( on his own, I never asked him to not speek with her) I found out on tuesday that he saw her on fri and spoke with her for 2hrs on the phone monday. He just forgot to tell me about this and now I don't know if I should trust him or not. I don't care if they talk but to tell me one thing and do another I feel is a big deal. He totally lied to me I feel. Not telling me something is the same as lying to to me about it. He says hes very much in love with me and wants to marry me. But when he picks up a phone and calls his ex wife without thinking about how its going to effect me and us. what should I think.

Any responses would be good. I have never been in this situation before I really don't know what to think about it.

You get no argument from me. His dishonesty has damaged your trust in him and you need to calmly sit down and honestly tell him about this.

Thank you

We have sat down and talked about this, he knows exactaly how I feel, and wants to make things right. I don't know what I should ask of him, should I Now ask him to not speek with her. should he offer? I don't know where to go from here, he knows how I feel and he wants to make it right, but how does he do that, I don't think he can, I think its my issue now, I am the one that has to deal with it and work though it, what can he do?

Even though you two are not married, following the four rules for a succesful marriage (click on the link bellow my post) will turn your relationship into a healthy and happy one for both. I strongly urge you and your BF to read and implement it's principles, especially the POJA(the policy of joint agreement) in which both of you promise not to do anything that is not enthusiastically endorsed by the two of you.
