im sorry, I am new here too. Not new at posting in these type of forums though. My husband is a cheater and still is cheating. Too many triggers on a daily basis. But I love him soo much. Why is he still continuing to talk to her even though he KNOWS it is ruining our marriage. How much longer can a person take. How long to these thing last before they die out? Do they ever Die out? What good is counseling if he is still lying about seeing her? help me please understand all this.

Dear Had It,

Welcome. I'm so sorry for your pain. What your husband is doing is being a "cake-eater". He's having his cake and eating it, too. He's got the benefits of a family and of an illicit affair. And I'm sorry to say you're allowing him to have both. Have you read through the articles on Plan A and B on this site?

Best of luck,
Nat

Unfortunately I been there done that. We would go to counseling and I would feel wrung out but relieved and hopeful to only find out it was still going on, the talking part. This went on for almost 6months and I blew. Its hard, I told him I wasnt now or ever goin gto be secound best. I put him out when he cam ehome from a outting I had m oved him. This woke him up, but I didnt stop then, I called ow live in and all of it blew high..We are better now. They have to learn after a period it can not and will not go both ways. I beleive in counsrling he meant well and would hold true to nc for a few days maybe even a week then she would call or he would...There has been nc for 5 months and our life between us 2 is better ow is till crazy but its getting better.I wish you luck. I can only tell you my side and you have decide from there.
